Lets be honest here. Here is a guy who hasn’t really put in a true 40-hour workweek ever in his life. For the past ten years...he likely showed up at work around 9 and left by 4. If he put any work into a weekend...it was less than three hours. He had no major lawn work or garage to clear...nor was he restoring any cars or coaching little league. My impression of his college years...especially as the ‘editor’ at the legal review....was that he barely showed up and never wrote much of anything...just occupying the position.

So now? Graying hair. No breaks except for a few hours of sleep in the evening. Meetings that lead to more meetings, that lead to more meetings. Decisions must be made, and then remade. Important people paying the guy at the front door to get a twenty-minute meeting to emphasize their pet project or their 100-million dollar real estate deal with the national park service. He’s putting five hours of work into every Saturday, and likely has another five spread through Sunday on various projects.

His ideology is under constant pressure because you can’t put a square peg into a round hole. His speeches are programmed events but he has to be closely involved and waste an hour here and an hour there practicing them so he can portray the “one”. He has people like Pelosi and Reid who have little to no respect for his office or his abilities. He gets various stories from his experts, who really aren’t much to brag about.

Then adding onto this entire mess...the economy is at the worst point in 100 years....two major wars are underway....some radio talk-show host is actually taking some strong whacks at your credibility, your birth certificate could potentially come out at any point to spoil the legend, and the years as a community organizer really didn’t prepare you for this kind of work (but you can’t admit this in public).

Did I miss anything?

His wife has to be held in check by his mother-in-law.

By gosh, I think you may have something here. When it becomes more and more evident that this guy is the louse we have known him to be for the past 2+ years, poof out comes the birth certificate showing he is ineligible and he goes home to Chicago with Michelle and kids in tow....

You omitted his self mandated few hours a day in the gym.
Every day.
Otherwise you were spot on.

He needs to channel RR. He found time to take a nap or 2 even while having to deal with the old soviet union and its minions. RR had a really bad economy when he got in as well.

What you missed is that all 0baba has ever done is talk and theorize. He has never had an executive position and now he does. He has never even run a lemonade stand

0bammy has been a professional web spinner, a professional talker for years. He can hire the best people to work under him but lacks the real world experience to make decisions based on what they advise him to do...because he is getting conflicting advice which is whole thing about being a serious executive

“Lets be honest here. Here is a guy who hasn’t really put in a true 40-hour workweek ever in his life.”

You’ve never been on a political campaign. I have lots of opinions about the Bamster, but to say his problem is that he has never had the opportunity to develop a “work ethic” because he never worked a 40-hr week in his life isn’t one of them.

Political campaigns are 80hr/wk jobs for months on end.

Obama is clearly unprepared to be President. Shoot. We all knew that here. But not because he’s never worked a long week.

I thought it was total garbage when the drive-bys were saying that running a campaign is evidence of executive leadership. But. It actually IS evidence of the ability to put in long hours.

you asked:

"Did I miss anything?"

You left out the nagging wife wanting him to make her "more proud".

You have to love the irony in it. If anyone in the family did all the working and making a decent wage to support their family it was Michelle. Now she can stay at home pose for magazine covers and he has to work long hard days.

Keep pointing out that Pelosi and Reid are spinning this guy like a top. They rammed (Rahmed?) the stimulus package down his throat and the bankers a re having a field day with the credit crunch. This guy is seriously out of hes element and he is putting American interests and lives in danger. Opening Cuba may be a sop to the Russians but it will create huge problems in the non-communist Caribbean and Latin America. Not good. Not good at all...
