Poor Baby Obama: I Have To Make The ‘Really Hard’ Decisions

Two big stories emerged from Pres. Obamas interview with New York Times reporters aboard Air Force One yesterday:
1. we have a whining, self-pitying president. 2. The Times scrubbed from its article the worst of the presidents comments, the ones that revealed him in that self-pitying light.
Fortunately, the Today show had the tapes, and played them this morning. According to Today, when President Obama met with reporters from the New York Times yesterday aboard Air Force One, his goal was trying to sound hopeful and reassuring. Mission not accomplished. As ambivalent as were the presidents putatively reassuring words on the economy, the delivery was even worsehalting and anything but assured. Be sure to view the video.
But much worse was his whining when it came to the burdens of his office:
PRES. OBAMA: I wish I had the luxury of just dealing with a modest recession or just dealing with health care or just dealing with energy or just dealing with Iraq or just dealing with Afghanistan. I dont have that luxury, and I dont think the American people do, either.
A bit later came this stunning statement, edited out of the Times story but broadcast by Today

Blame the media who helped put this empty suit in the drivers seat. His entire past is hidden and unavailable. The media never wanted to dig because they probably knew that the truth would kill the made for TV image.Excellent statement....and why did they want HIM....?
That is the question....

I should point out that Obama more accurately said the US military should reach out to the Taliban, a comment that makes him sound more immature than I suggested.

By all numbers it's not the worse recession we've seen and it's not even close to depression numbers but with Obama it soon will be. By the next Presidential election, Obama will have taxed and spent us from a recession into a second Great Depression. Of course, the Democrats and the MSM will blame it all on Bush.

but he also undermines the military.
He's clueless. His decisions come from a Black Berry texting from his handlers.
Obama will be exhausted once his Black Berry is taken away.
Aloha Victoria!
What's the pulse of the City? Wall Street ain't happy and Bloomberg's nuts. Up State is upset and the NYT is fast approaching penny shares.

Aloha BL!
Good to see ya.
I think the last time I checked the pulse of the city, it had flatlined.

If the crew wants to walk around with their shirtails out, let them. Take the towline, defective equipment, nothing more. Ah, but the strawberries, that's where I had them!

“I have a mental image of Obama looking out the window of the Oval Office each and every morning and seeing nothing but pea-soup fog.”
I’ve had many mornings like that.
Fortunately the fate of our nation doesn’t rest on my shoulders.
Of course - I’ve never claimed I could save the world either.

“Would a President Plugs be an improvment?”
It’s a good question.
I’m going to guess that plugs would be better.
Why?
I guess because I think that while Biden is a big doofus - I don’t think he has an evil master plan to turn the US into a socialist nation. He also doesn’t carry the huge racial chip on his shoulder.
And plugs sure as heck is better than Pelosi.

I can't seem to find it in myself to do 'lol' when something is humerous. The writer should appreciate his or her own humor.
But when something witty shows up......the Cheshire Cat's the reply.
Talked to my brother who lives upstate, a bedroom community an hour and a half by train from the City. A year ago. he told me those developments were 20% vacant. Last week he told me that it was more than 30%. The foreclosure rate on mortgages (ARMs) has been devastating to the area. But.....the land/school taxes haven't changed on damn bit from the inflated values that created the debacle.
Question is where'd they all go?

Things are tough all over, and the tax policy statewide certainly doesn’t help. I think things will get worse for a lot of homeowners throughout 2009, and beyond.

Thanks Ernest. I have been a contributor at NewsBusters since its inception, and continue to post occasional items there but post most of my work at my own site, FinkelBlog.
