I think that those kids should be reading banned books in the name of Freedom, Charles Ransom of the University of Michigan would surely agree:

cradle of civilization, eh?
Cradle of AIDS, I’d believe. Is that the same thing?

How embarrassing. As much as WE all knew they’d be an embarrassment, it still makes me wince.
It would be interesting to track gifts given to various people in the vein of who he values and who he doesn’t, and/or to see if this is a constant. I remember all Obama gave Joe Biden for his birthday was cupcakes and some other trinket you could find at a 7-11.
Does he always give tacky thoughtless gifts, or are some higher mammals given “good” gifts?

It makes me wonder what kind of advice he’s getting from his cabinet of dubious distinction. Are they really for him or against him? Hmmmm
To: noblejones
Well, they’ve been spending so much on parties it’s all they have left over for the visiting dignitaries.

They need an etiquette czar. I am really appalled at how low class they are. Or a better one. I guess I assumed one came with the job. If not, I'd say it's high time to cut out the Wednesday evening cocktail parties and spend the money on such a service. I have an Emily Post book I could send them.

Oh boy - these guys just keep getting better and better, don't they?
