CNN's title for this chart is:

"Where does your state rank? Americans everywhere are feeling the recession’s pain – some more than others."

Seems to me that two states seem to be doing fairly well according their chart. Wyoming and North Dakota.

For the record I'd just like to say congratulations to the the citizens and politicians of Wyoming and North Dakota. You folks are the ones that our overlords in DC should be emulating if they want to get out of this mess.

I'm considering a relocation to one of those.

It's interesting to look at, but some stats are skewed by size. State budget might be better if they did $ per capita for instance.

It says my state has a 27 million dollar budget deficit which is wrong, our constitution doesn’t allow a budget in deficit. Our unemployment and foreclosure rates also place us in the bottom five. Not bad, especially considering the seemingly eternal 35% unemployment rate on all the reservation lands included in our number.

A lot of that is the oil and gas industry in both North Dakota and Wyoming. Coal mining as well.

Don't worry, the Obamites are working on making us unemployed, homeless, and poor, too, so we can all be equal.

By next winter, the cap and trade tax should be in place, then y'all can read about people freezing in subzero weather or starving while they pay for heat.

They should break down how many of the jobs are government jobs v. private jobs. Then take those numbers and associated them to the deficit numbers.
