Jim Cramer. Rush Limbaugh. Rick Santelli.
What do they all have in common? Most likely, none of them is getting invited to the White House Christmas party.
All three media personalities have been singled out by President Obama's press shop in the course of less than two weeks. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, in doing so, has shown an unusual willingness to spar with cable and radio hosts who take shots at his boss.
The rebuttals have ranged from playful ribbing to disdainful scolding.
Talk show host Limbaugh has drawn the most ire from the White House. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel called him out on Sunday for saying he wants Obama to fail, after Obama told Republican lawmakers not to listen to people like Limbaugh several weeks ago.
Gibbs followed up Monday, calling on conservative pundits to challenge Limbaugh on air.

Gibbs=Bagdad Bob"
I am sure the Dems will be standing in line to debate Rush. They are all master debaters you know?
This is a good thing.
“I also see it as an impromptu signal to the minions to press on and step up the attacks on those who may dare to be in opposition.”
Here’s my answer to the minions:
Who Dares Wins
I think Cramer’s just trying to get on the ratings bandwagon. The thing Cramer, Rush, Santelli have in common is that they’ve garnered massive attention. Cramer saw Santelli, and then Rush, getting all this attention, and figured he better grab a slice of that pie for himself. It worked.
He’s “scary creepy”.
You mean in a plastic veneer, brain-washed, automaton, all too “pleasant” kind of way? Gee, do you think he is being used to create another phony stereotype in O’s minions’ collective mind?
Very presidential.
A president singling out civilians. What will he do next? single out school children?
Doesn't he have more important things to fill his empty brain with?
The popularity contest is over. He won. Why can't he accept that himself?
He has proven that he is not suited for the office he sits in. Too childish. Immature. A disgrace.
While they could be described as an attack on 1st amendment they are not unusual, even in more recent history. My dad related to me the many attacks by Harry Truman on commentators like H.V Kaltenborn. They ranged from anger to sarcastic mimicry. Of course Kaltenborn never responded directly to these attacks, but simply carried on with his criticisms. That would be a course folks like Santelli, Rush, and Cramer should emulate.
He’s like a little pissant who was likely teased incessantly as a child. Where I’m from, males like Gibbs are referred to as ‘p-—y a— mamas’ boys.
Didn’t Nixon do the same thing? The media hated that, I wonder what the difference is now?
Maybe, but since Obama has a demonstrated inability to handle criticism, I think we should pile on and make Obama crack up.
I like that- a nice and appropriate ring to that.
Or even worse, electrons by the megawatt-hour.

“MOMMIEEEEEEEE” is what I’m hearing!
This reminds me of a time when, as a hoops coach, I had to deal with a very sensitive ref. My ass’t had already been DQed and now the ref was telling me he’d forfeit the game because two parents of kids on my team were harassing him. He was aterrible ref having an awful game. i went to the parents and asked them to stop being personal and confine their jeers to criticising the ref’s performance not his antecedents. When the ref threatened me again I told him that the spectators had every right to criticize his performance and were doing so without making any untoward attacks. He walked awawy flummoxed and we lost anyway, but i had made my point and so had the parents.
