Fifteen Republican members of the Missouri General Assembly have signed on to a state constitutional amendment that appears aimed at advancing the claims of the fringe movement that doubts President Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president.
The language is contained in a proposed "voter’s bill of rights," which would serve "as a defense against corruption, fraud, and tyranny."
The proposed amendment states:
For candidates who are required by the Constitution of the United States to be natural born citizens, the secretary of state shall request an official copy of the candidate’s birth certificate. Other certifications, such as a certificate of live birth, shall not be accepted. Should any candidate fail to provide an official birth certificate within thirty days of the request by the secretary of state, his or her name shall not be placed on the ballot.
The Birthers, as they're known, have focused on the State of Hawaii's refusal to release the original of Obama's birth certificate, as opposed to official copies; Hawaii state law bars the release of the original.

Producing a real birth certificate would not put anything to rest.
Some believe that because he has a Kenyan father he is not natural born.
Others believe that the Indonesian connection makes him ineligible.
There are I am sure other arguments as well.
If a real birth certificate was produced it would be dismissed as a forgery.
This is a conspiracy theory, they are indestructable. Nothing can make this go away

I believe you are 100% correct there. He is hiding something. The real problem is, there have to be people in on the cover-up. That means Obama owes his soul to these people. These are probably the very same people feeding him his instructions via the private blackberry he refuses to give up.
Obama is a beholden socialist mouthpiece for someone else, someone holding tremendous sway over him.
Sadly, I think I agree with you on that. (hadn't given it much thought until now) If it is to be together under an un-Constitutional socialist government, or fragmented... I'm heading for the fragment the recognizes and respects the Constitution.

Whatever it is that he’s hiding is apparently important enough that it will shake the party to it’s core. If people want to believe he is native born, that’s fine but I wish they would ask to see what is so damaging.

A dsignated group of say five individuals from the lawsuits and other places xcould all go to the office to see the process of obtaining the original from the State of Hawaii, so that the document does not pass through the One’s hands first.
Then, the only issue is the accuracy of the information on the document as originally drafted. However, the fact that it is being hidden now means that the odds that they faked it adequately are unlikely.

Should they prove that the President is not qualified for the office, the people of this country should demand another election. Especially since it could be shown the last election was a sham..........if he is not a citizen. The Oval office should not just transfer to Biden. That’s not what the people voted for.
If Obama continues to tank the economy I guarantee people will be looking for a way to get rid of him. This could be it.

I’m sorry, I disagree... if he is not eligible, then his pretense of being president, as well as the ensuing chaos that would surround his removal, would be enough of “giving aid and comfort to the enemy” to hang the man.
It has a chance since amending Missouri’s constitution isn’t that hard. A majority vote in the legislature sends it to the voters as a referendum. A majority vote by the electorate puts it in the Constitution. The governor can’t veto it. About all the governor could do to gum up the works is call a special election to vote on it. That would reduce turnout.
