Have you really swallowed the idea that these business sectors have somehow been "de-regulated"? LOL

Do you live in sugject ideological self-enforced ignorance that you can claim that AIG's credit default swaps were adequately regulated? Are you telling me that the deliberate hands-off approach to commodities trading on ICE terminals showed adequate regulation when speculation drove the price of oil up to $146/bbl?

And no LOL from me, either - it is stunning that folks cling to their preconceptions in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

No, I just made it up yesterday, but go ahead and search for a place that will make bumper stickers with your design and you’re golden!

” They did vote for this. they were just too lazy to do pre election research”

They were having too much making fun of Sarah Palin.

I enjoy watching their pain.

Now that they have passed the porkulus bill with all the trimmings, they are all trying to act like fiscally responsible people. I don't buy this.

We need to exploit and nurture this resentment wherever we see it.. encourage them to open their eyes that he isn’t a messiah- frankly, he is a newbie amateur who is screwing up.

Exactly. The oft-used "It's Obama's fault" should be the basis, but spelled out in terms like "Well, Obama's been talking down the economy and he's scared your employer . . . etc."

I wouldn't be "in your face" or "I told you so" (as much as you'd like) with the Buyers' Remorse types though. The 'bots though are a different story - go for the jugular.

A good article, worth the read. It’s like these so-called “intellectual” Obama voters are waking up after a drunken frat party and realizing the “girl” they brought back to the dorm is really a guy. It would be funny if the consequences to our nation weren’t so dire.

Scaring your employer is a good line.. also, something like ‘he is naive to the consequences of his words’.. kind of a condescending pat on the head.

*snort* As the Russians say, “Tuffski Sh*tski”. If these supposedly ‘smarter than thou’ folks were stupid enough to fall for That One’s tissue thin ‘resume’, it’s their own dang fault.

vote for the “cool black guy”
and “be part of an historical event”.

That covers most of his white voters, and those between the ages of 18-25. They, combined with the almost solid bloc of black votes, put him over the top.

Obama’s goons are focusing so hard on Rush Limbaugh and Rick Santelli that they are blind to the direction that their REAL threat is coming from.

> the duped who are now claiming, “we never voted for this.” Wrong. They did vote for this. they were just too lazy to do pre election research

Precisely. It's the reason I've chosen my new bumper sticker:

Blame the Obama Voters bumper sticker

I'm no longer content with blaming only the offender -- I want the willing accomplices to be held to account for their role.

Brutally accurate summation. Part of this "change" was nothing more mature than sticking their tongues out at Bush. And part of the reason the idiots are now complaining "this isn't what we voted for" was that they never pressed Obama for his positions on anything important in the first place. And these are journalists. What they're really saying is "I didn't do my job."

“The willfully ignorant, in my opinion, are deserving of no less antipathy than those who voted for 0bama because they knew he is a Marxist.”

He’s not a marxist, he’s a FASCIST.

The economic program he is pushing is classic fascism. Right out of Italy and Germany. We need to start calling him what he is.

I agree, his policies fit right in with Hayek’s definition of fascism, and with Goldberg’s description of fascism under Wilson.

And, as a bonus, liberals HATE being called “Fascist” - that’s what they call conservatives!

President Bush put up with all the MSM hatred.

Dowd handed him his head on a platter so often it looked like sport. President Bush handled it like a gentleman - which emboldened her up.

Insulting Bush was like insulting Christians - a cheek was turned.

But insulting Obama and the dems is like insulting Islam - they don't turn the other cheek. There is no upper class dignity. Nope, it's dirty street fighting, beheadings, revenge, an eye for an eye stuff.

Nasty stuff.

Ms Down will get in line - and shut her disrespectful mouth. Dems don't put up with that stuff from women who should know their place. Nope, Ms Down's not dealing with a respectful Republican anymore. She dealing with a President who has the time and force to fight back.

Like a Chicago street fighter.

Like a thug who always has to win.

The people who control the power of the United States - the most powerful administration in the world are Nixonian - and they're not afraid to step on Cramer, Santelli, Rush, Chris Buckley, Maureen Dowd, David Brooks, David Gergen, Andrew Sullivan or any other American citizen.

First they came for conservatives - and I said nothing... then they came for liberal journalists...
