In response to Attorney General Eric Holder's comments about reinstating the ban on so-called "assault weapons," the National Shooting Sports Foundation issued a press release reminding Congress and all Americans that such a ban would result in a loss of jobs, have no effect on reducing crime and would deprive millions of law-abiding sportsmen and gun owners of their Constitutional right to own the firearm of their choice...

Correct. 2A is about perserving liberty.
I hate is when Democrat politicians pander to hunters to assert that 2A credentials.
Being pissed off is one thing, but this is the real deal here. To start we’re all going to have to bitch and holler like we’ve never done before. In public, loud and clear.
***I like target shooting. Not a fan of sport hunting. I am an animal lover, and believe they should only be hunted to be eaten.****
Get a load of this! GUN WEEK newspaper (March 16, 2009) reports that the State Department is looking into banning the import and export and of MILITARY CALIBER RIFLES and ammo, 5.56mm, .223, .308 Nato, .308 Winchester, .50, including BOLT ACTION RIFLES.
GW also reported the Government is trying to DEFINE what is SNIPER RIFLE based on barrel weight and diameter and rifle twist.
Get ready for it!
I bought an SKS back in the mid-1990’s (and 1,000 rounds)when I was afraid Clinton was gonna take away our guns. It is the only gun I own and I fired maybe 20 rounds.
I will not give it up.
I’ve also been divorced and moved five time since I bought it.
Meanwhile I am picking up a Remington 870 12 guage today.
He won't personally, but twenty or so of his best buddies in spiffy blue uniforms with thick vests and shiny black boots will come to ask you nicely to do so.
Thats why I am going to go to a meeting this Saturday with Fellow Freepers here in N. Oregon. Yes, I said Oregon. We all have to start getting seriously active, or we aren’t going to have anything left to fight for.

The SKS is an excellent, and inexpensive (used to be anyway), rifle.
Pelosi has a habit of lying through her store bought teeth. As long as these pirates are in charge it's condition yellow-plus for me. Watch the current media narratives. If the term 'assault weapons' comes up more than a few times a week, they're trying to soften the public on the issue.
SKS is a great little rifle, and fun to shoot.
Had one at the range, a few years back, and an older gentleman came over wanting a look. Hadn't seen one for years, he said, and never close up. We talked about it ... and guns in general for a while. Last time he had seen one, it turned out, was in 1969. It was about 20 yards away, and pointed at him ... I thanked him for his service, and gave him a couple of boxes of ammo to shoot.
It seemed to settle something in his soul.
Steele will be all for it.
Steele has been a great disappointment lately.
I think he is drinking Obama’s Koolaid.
Yeah, I paid $105 for mine.
The remington is gonna be $369.
How dare they try to ban “freedom” rifles. It’s un-American to the core.
Thank You.
Please present a little more evidence RE: NSSF.
Unless you were being sarcastic, of course.
Then, when you refuse, they will break down your door, terrorize your kids, taze you, and shoot your dog.
Or, have one of their "snipers" execute your wife as she holds one of your kids.
Or, surround your house and burn it to the ground with you and your family inside.
At least, those have been the methods of choice so far.
Never cared for the SKS until I fired one. Now I have a collection of Russian and a few other countries. Good choice on shotgun.
