The underhanded Obama administration has quietly moved to rescind the conscience clause found in agreements between the federal government and Catholic hospitals.
This conscience clause has always protected practitioners from being forced to commit abortions in violation of their consciences. Its removal means Catholic hospitals will be forced to choose between federal funds for committing abortions and closing down to maintain a clear conscience.
Phonies with egg on their faces
Nevertheless, phony Catholic judas goats like Douglas Kmiec are still beating their chests with pride at having delivered 52% of the Catholic vote to the abortion team last fall.
In January Kmiec smugly wrote The scurrilous remarks of conservative bloggers missed the point, which was that I and millions of others who voted for Obama did so not despite our Catholic faith but because of it.
As a proud conservative blogger I have to ask this vile man how voting for a monster who could allow miracle abortion surviving infants to die unattended on a cold steel table in a broom closet is Catholic faith.
Reminding us why print media is dying, two weeks ago Times Amy Sullivan instructed us confused Catholics, that FOCA does not even exist. Insisting it will not be considered, she gently explains FOCA is merely a myth imagined by our Bishops which will not be voted on in Congress so it cant threaten the sanctity of life.
Perhaps Sullivan could discern a comforting difference between being sent to a work camp rather than a concentration camp but her logic escapes me.
The truth may be Obama doesnt sign anything named FOCA, but whether its called FOCA or the Sunshine and Applesauce law, hell sign a law extorting Catholic hospitals into committing abortions thereby killing Catholic hospitals.
Obamas sneaky order proves both of these phonies wrong.

Agreed.
When this happens, I hope the bishops shut the doors.
My wife’s OB/GYN is a devout Christian, and refuses to give the pill (even though required by law in Illinois). She has said she will quit if she has to.
And if the state decides to force the issue, this is one big German Lutheran who will stand in the gap as needed.
I agree, the time has come when devout Christians, be they Protestant or Catholic, need to draw a line in the sand and stand firm.
I fully believe that the day is rapidly approaching when many of us will be jailed for obeying His Commandments. I would rather rot in prison than support the murder of the innocent.
I believe that EVERYTHING we need to know about how to live as Believers is contained in the last portion of Matthew Chapter 25 and there is nothing in there that even remotely suggests that we should do anything other than love one another.

I love it!
I suspect a debt default by the federal government would result in a severe and negative reaction from the bond holders. Those bond holders are represented by nations that are or will become very hostile to the US if debt default becomes a possibility.
Do you think the US federal government would offer to ignore Taiwan’s pleas for defense as a partial recompense? You bet it would. And, I suspect that is not all. Which would become more vulnerable—NK or SK? SK would become vulnerable to the starving 19th century dictatorship in NK.
Treasury bills are in effect bonds. Right now, other major bond issuers are in trouble because so much liquidity has been snapped up with the purchase of T-bills.
With a default in US T-bills, international trade comes to a halt. But this doesn’t mean a complete cessation of US activities around the globe.
While Asian creditor nations would become upset, there is very little they could do about it directly. To a great extent, this is because the credit default would be an international crisis.
Taiwan might agree for a peaceful reunification with the mainland in such a crisis, because they might be able to get excellent terms. However, North Korea may be less inclined to invade South Korea than vice versa. They would be wise to hold their tongues, because China might be less supportive of North Korea than it is currently, and see the South Korean government as a less troublesome neighbor.
But back to the US, even though it would no longer be importing because of the default, it would still likely export food to the many nations we feed. Perhaps in exchange for some pro-rated debt.
The US military can “run on vapor” for quite a while, because many of its expenditures are for future activities a decade out. By contracting these and slashing pay, it can extend operations for a year or more with minimal funding.
From my email from Father Pavone of Priests for Life:
“As we suspected, abortion supporters aren’t trying to pass the Freedom of Choice Act in one fell swoop.
Their plan is to break it into pieces and pass it incrementally.
And the recent proposal to make taxpayer funding of “family planning” part of the economic stimulus package shows, we were right. Although not specifically part of FOCA, “family planning” is a key element in the plan to enshrine abortion-on-demand as the law of the land for generations to come.
snip
It’s critically important that you do this right now .... before you move on to your next email.
Make no mistake. The only reason federal funding for “family planning” was removed from the stimulus bill was due to the massive outcry of protest from you and your fellow pro-life activists.
That in itself demonstrates what the people of life can do when we make our voice heard in Washington!”
I want Obama and the dims out of office NOW.
Headline off Drudge today about this situation.
0 is looking more and more like an antichrist to me. Don’t know if he is THE antichrist but he sure fits the description closer than any other political leader in a long time.
