Terrible news . . . condolences to his family.

But a life well lived, from all appearances.

RIP a great voice. He was old when I heard him 50 years ago as a kid.

Last words I ever heard him say were "Mr. President, I love you, but you're wrong."

The radio won’t be the same without him, the death of his wife recently must have hit him hard, he was on far less often than he used to be. I’ve listened to him since I came here. There was nobody like him on air, he’ll be broadcasting on the other side now. We will get to listen to him then. May he rest in peace.

I remember every day at 12 noon at the old KGA (used to be a 50,00 watt AM flamethrower) in Spokane, WA...they would play the station ID, then the National Anthem, and the next sound you heard was...”Hello Americans, this is Paul Harvey...Stand by for NEWS!”

I will miss him terribly. He was certainly one of the best in the business.

He certainly was one of the all-time greats. I’m sure Rush will have plenty to say about him on Monday.

I LOVED listening to him.

Who’s gonna give us the RRRRREST of the story?

Another American classic gone.

I’m missing his generation terribly about now.

And now...RIP, FRiend.

I remember when he was promoting beef. He began an ad by saying, “Do you know what I had for supper last night? Oxtail soup!”

Paul Harvey’s words touched me directly and helped me overcome a terrible problem.

I attended 13 different school before graduating high school. We moved a lot. Wherever we were, if I could find the station Paul Harvey was on, I didn't feel so lost. Hearing his voice always made me feel "at home", like a friend from the last town. Even during the 60's, when all we wanted was rock, we'd change the dial at noon to listen to Paul.

When I tuned into listen to him last week, there was just an announcement that said "We won't be having Paul Harvey at noon anymore". I was so upset! I timed my driving errands around his show. I knew this day was coming...but still...(and his son does sound a little like him, and did write most of his "The Rest of the Story" features...but it's not the same.)

Now, if Merlin Dumbreau stops with the Farm Report, I'm going totally XM radio! My childhood will be officially over...and I'm past 50!
