Thanks for the response. Didn’t realize Iowa law “requires” them to go first. Who cares what Iowa says (sorry to those here)?

Maybe Georgia or Oklahoma can make their law require them to go first...? I’d prefer that.

I’m not up on the business of primaries (obviously), but someone who can get the ball rolling to change the dates of these primaries needs to start now!

Who can start the push for change? FReepers? Haley? Rush? Jindal?

I’d prefer a ruling class of a randomly selected 545 people out of a phone book of an (again) randomly selected midwest population over those that rule us now.

The term “natural born citizen” has NEVER been defined in the U.S. Constitution or in codified U.S. law. However …

Rep. John Bingham of Ohio, considered the father of the Fourteenth Amendment, confirms the understanding and construction the framers used in regards to birthright and jurisdiction while speaking on civil rights of citizens in the House on March 9, 1866:
" ... I find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents [plural, meaning two] not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen..." “Nothing against bobby, he is a fine 3rd rate governor of a 3rd rate state.”

Fumble. You outed yourself.

“Anyway I will not mention the name of that 3rd rate governor from that 3rd rate state because he has no chance of being POTUS. Not only is he NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN but he is a LOUSY speaker and he is GOOFY looking!

SARAH PALIN 2012!”

O.K. I understand you like Sarah Palin. So do I. But do you have to trash other Republicans? Your example, to those who prefer another candidate, is that they should trash Sarah Palin. In both cases, this only helps liberals. Ronald Reagan knew what he was doing when he coined an eleventh commandment to avoid criticizing fellow Republicans. When it comes to policy, one need only advance one’s own. People can then judge the different policies, and those who advance them.

Just when you think things can’t possibly get any worse...Romney wins a straw poll of “conservatives”

I think the conservative movement has been invaded, or just doesn’t know what a conservative is anymore.

Romney winning a conservative straw poll is like Helen Thomas winning a bikini contest.

How many of you keyboard comandos got off your ass yesterday and went to one of the Tea Parties to condemn
Obama and his bailout disaster.

I did and am fed up with most on FR who don’t get out
to rallies to either support Conservative causes
or expose the Left.

I have been to many many rallies over the years and
FR has the least of the conservative attendees.

Use your time and energy to expose Obama or is that to hard for you

Mitt is very competant. He turned around a multi-billion dollar sports venture from the red.

Only by fleecing the taxpayer in the RomneyFascist-way.

In fact, Romney screwed the taxpayers in the Olympics
and in the BIGdig coverup he took part in
and in the socialized medicine scam he imposed.

No doubt, Romney's gay marriage also probably screwed the taxypayers.

I have never read an article by a Republican attacking Palin, only rumors of it happening.
However, whenever Romney's name comes up, there are immediately 100 or more posts attacking Romney.
This seems a bit hypocritical to me.

IIRC, Romney's won the CPAC straw poll for three years in a row. Lot of good that did Romney. With his win in 2007 and $55-million, Romney was able to finish 3RD place in the GOP primaries.

Bunch of pseudo cons and sell-outs voting for a faux conservative -— aka. Rockefeller Republican.

A Mormon will NEVER be elected as President.

NEVER say never!

That's why born&raised MORMON Mitt (if he REALLY wants be be POTUS so bad) will have a born&raised HINDU Jindal (Who really IS a Conservative) moment.

You're missing the point. Most attack Romney's *record*, which isn't at all conservative. Yeah, there are some who go after the Mormon thing, but very, very few of them here on FR.

As for Sarah, you clearly haven't read columns by Noonan, Parker or Krauthmauer. All three have gone after Sarah with the verve of a liberal.
