When Barack Obama was a senator, he was much more upbeat. In fact, he was ultra-positive and almost too cheery and idealistic to be credible. We heard him on the campaign trail speaking incessantly about a gauzy vision of hope and change while his supporters snorted his every amorphous and vague word in the quest for the euphoric Obama-high.
President Obama is a much different orator. Hes replaced the flowery can-do language with a daily diatribe of doomsday. Like any drug , this one has given way to the harsh reality that coming down from his apex of hope isnt as fun as inhaling it was. Yes we can! has been replaced with We can but only if we can make sacrifices NOW.
So which Obama will show up for tonights address?
[Snip]
After advice from the always helpful Bill Clinton and a market plunge, Obama likely knows he needs to stop accentuating the negative. But how else will he get his grand plans passed if he doesnt sound the alarm?

No matter which Obama shows up to speak to before Congress and the nations, one thing is certain: he must explain why things havent gotten better. He will make excuses for why weve yet to see the rainbow-colored bunting, gold-encrusted streets and sugar-coated dreams he promised us from the stump. He cant blame all our ills on George Bush, but hell try.
Heres my advice: If anyone is planning a drinking game tonight dont take a sip each time he says the last eight years unless youre looking to get sauced.

why things havent gotten better.
Personally: I'm betting that either Zero will cry out for more Porkulus Maximus. And I'm backing that up with a long position in precious metals. And unfortunately, so far, the Rats have not let me down!
Doom and gloom. Plus I inherited this mess.
Which Obama will show up tonight? The one with teleprompters ablazin’ and someone feeding him information through an ear piece.
Just heard this speech is scheduled for half an hour.
His supporters have about a 5-minute attention span.
This is gonna bomb bigtime.
I think the Socialist 0 will show up tonight.
I know bill clinton has trashed GW in clintons travels overseas, I know hillary trashed GW just recently overseas and I know kerry has, as well as al gore, frequently.
These are genuinely sick people. Lacking in maturity, discipline and grace.
“...This is gonna bomb bigtime.”
Don’t be so sure...the Kool Aid packets have been delivered and mixed. The MSM being in the tank for him doesn’t hurt either.
Either way he’ll be dazzling and god-like with the proper lighting.
I’m looking forward to having a nice evening with the family playing dominoes and no tv.
Haven’t you heard yet.....it’ll be the Reaganesque Obama tonight......already preannounced.
So, do you think “the last eight years” will be more prominent than “crisis”?
“Im looking forward to having a nice evening with the family playing dominoes and no tv.”
I wanted to watch “The Biggest Loser” tonight...and I don’t mean Zero.
GW Bush only battled:
OBL
Saddam and Sons
Islamic terrorists
(too bad he had no troops to battle the enemy within)
He’s been told to sound optimistic...
The stock market went up today as well...
I expect Cheerful Barry...
Not that I’ll be watching...
The thing is supposedly going to be a half hour long. His supporters don’t have that kind of attention span, and his opponents aren’t going to like it no matter how long it is.
In short, it’s already a speech without an audience, except the onhand politicians and media.
They’ve fixed him.
He’s wireless now, no strings visible.
which O?
The Arrogant one.
As I recall, Reagan was accused of being only an actor. Now an actor is showing up and he is being likened to Reagan?
I am a bit confused.
Look for micro-facial expressions on this guy tonight. Obama’s face during a speech is like the computer-generated image used to train interogators. You’ll certainly see quick flashes on his face that contradict his words. It’s chilling!
I say we play it backwards—for the hidden messages!
