Despite High Unemployment, Obama Puts Amnesty on the Agenda
fairus.org ^ | Feb. 23, 2009

This week, as a guest on a Spanish language radio show, President Obama stated his continued support for giving amnesty to 12 million illegal immigrants, which would force Americans looking for a job to compete with amnestied aliens for work. (El Piolin Interview, February 18, 2009 and CBS4 — South Florida).

During the radio interview, President Obama said: "We're going to start by really trying to work on how to improve the current [immigration] system so that people who want to be naturalized, who want to become citizens … are able to do it; that it's cheaper, that it's faster, that they have an easier time in terms of sponsoring family members." Following that, President Obama acknowledged what legal American workers already know intuitively — that amnesty is not in their best interest — but then endorsed amnesty anyway. President Obama said: "And then we've got to have comprehensive immigration reform. … Politically it's going to be tough. It's probably tougher now than it was, partly because of the fact that the economy has gotten worse." (El Piolin).

The GOP bootlickers will be helping him accomplish it too.

No kidding...

Rural America is gonna be a tough nut to crack.

Keep yer powder dry and get as much of it as you can before it becomes unavailable due to gubmint regulations. I'm not kidding.

I’m sure they will offer therapy for you in the reeducation camps which the Obammunist regime would like to create to “process” Bitter Clingers.

Many illegal immigrants are working for standard American wages. Employers are just hiring them instead of Americans.

I know folks in the domestic and restaurant businesses. There are illegal cooks and housekeepers pulling down $60-70K a year, largely under the table. These may be a few isolated cases (and this is in NYC and North Jersey), but I can verify at least four cases.

The fact is, in NYC, the project dwellers are unemployable and the "artistes" don't want to work a cooks hours. Doesn't change the fact that the illegals should have been deported eons ago, which makes it all the more interesting that many are leaving NYC and NJ to go back to Ecuador/Mexico/Brazil, etc. because restaurants aint opening like they used to two years ago.

Thanks, it is nice here. However, I have not yet filled out my state income tax forms (crying uncontrollably . . LOL!)

No Income tax at state level in Tx. (sigh)

Rob the country, prop up the decaying cities.

But Obama is not interested in the economy, his interest is political.

Look at the blue blotches.

Control the cities, control the states.

Propping up the cities is political in my view.

Immigration is not just a financial burden but a natural resource burden as well.

The state of Georgia has been facing a drought for the past several years. Especially hard hit was Atlanta with its population and limited water sources.

A news report early last year stated that Hispanics were the fastest growing population in the state.

Another report a month or two later said the drought had a much greater impact on water resources then it normally would have and was made worse due to the influx of people moving into the state of Georgia.

Hmmmmm...Put the two totally separate news stories together and what would your conclusion be?

It has gotten to the point in some parts of Georgia where you can hardly go to a federal, state or local park and enjoy the day due to all the “familias” overcrowding!

I know some would say that this is a racist thing to say, but if you live in Georgia and like the outdoors, you know what I mean.

Wait till your state is overrun before you point a finger and call someone else a racist. You just have to fund it and not have to live with it....yet.

Oh and by the way, the proper term would not be racist but prejudiced or bigoted there is a difference.
The term racist is used so often and accepted that today it shows most people could not even begin to tell you the difference in meaning.

40+% in CA, 29% in AZ, 39% in NV, I think, and I don’t remember the other figures that Rush quoted in today’s story about this. 5 states have the lion’s share of foreclosures: AZ, CA, NV, MI, and FL.

The national average on foreclosures is right at 4%.

Yes, and this is not the first time Obama has been chummy with this Spanish radio station dude. This guy is the brains and mouthpiece behind the organization of the illegal alien protests that brought out tens of thousands of Hispanics to the streets.

I suppose it depends on where one lives. In my area, semi-rural NC, most of the illegal workers are agricultural, construction, or domestic.

President Obama said: "And then we've got to have comprehensive immigration reform. …

He's even using W's exact, nauseating phrases. Obama is serving W's third term.

No way this gets through Congress.

I don't even think Obama will push it until 2012, although he will keep making vague statements that sound like amnesty is coming soon. He doesn't need a divisive, stunning defeat right now.
