I like Sarah Palin...
Recently, however, my confidence in Governor Palins judgment has begun to ebb most dramatically, this week...

Surprise. Surprise. Connect the dots......
Carol Platt Liebau is yet another Romney supporter,
in to attack Gov. Palin this month, for backstabber Carpetbagger RINO Mitt Romney.
There are enough attacks against Gov. Palin that this effort is concerted (
p < .001)
"Mitt Romney has been the most consistently excellent debater overall in the two meetings of the Republican candidates.
He is personable, clearly well informed, incredibly well-funded, and surrounded by a crack staff.
All that, taken together, goes far to explain why his numbers in Iowa -- and elsewhere -- are looking better and better."
"But the other candidate who's very compelling is Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney."
"Romney supporter turned Obama man Douglas Kmiec indulged in quite a litany of name-calling,
finger pointing and demagoguery against the GOP that would have been amazing from the same man only one year ago."
"Kmiec was named by Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney
to head the Romney for President Committee on the Courts and the Constitution in 2007."
"Cals Surprising Suggestion: I Wish The Palins Would Leave The Stage For Awhile"
"Romney obviously hopes that a growing number of Americans
accept the view of Cal Thomas, a popular journalist and an evangelical."
"Writing in his syndicated column, Cal Thomas commended Romney
for standing "on principle" and putting "more noble things ahead of self-interest." "
Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney
Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?
Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?
Romney Supporters Trashing Palin
Romney advisors sniping at Palin?
Similar to Romney's other scortched earth tactics:
Novak: Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign
Said Novak: The rumors were "traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson."
"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Romney) lost Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

Bristol is 18 and legally able to offer her own interviews which is what Greta and Bristol stated in the interview.
What should have Gov. Palin stated on national TV about her daughter?!! The media has been out there slamming this girl from day 1.
As a mother, Gov. Palin should defend her daughter. If Gov. Palin wants to call Bristol amazing for stepping up and doing the right thing by choosing to have her baby rather than aborting, holding up against the media onslaught and now trying to complete school while raising a baby, then so be it. I personally would agree with her.
How many people would have withstood what that then 17-year-old went through in the international spotlight?
The author of that article needs to get off of her case.

Jindal has been impressive, but as POTUS he is not qualified as a natural born citizen. He may be a citizen but not a natural born citizen.
Even if you believe he is qualified, you risk division among conservatives because many will not believe him constitutionally qualified. Don’t go this route.
I like him a great deal but I would never vote for him.

I happened to see a clip of this, Greta stated that Bristol set this up on her own. Sarah stopped by and surprised them and Greta said “I didn’t know you would be here”.

Remember Kathleen Parker? The “conservative” columnist for TownHall? The one that attacked Sarah Palin almost daily during the election?
Laura Ingraham read a recent Kathleen Parker piece written about her wonderful adventure on Air Force One with the Obamas.
Laura had the violins going in the background.
The kindest thing I can say about the Parker piece is that it was pathetically, sycophantically maudlin.
Even without the violins.

The writer is a moron.
That said, the MSM is accomplishing their 'destroy' Sarah campaign quite effectively if even freepers are believing their spew. There seems to be quite a few on FR who:
1. can't vote for her because she can't control her family
2. can't vote for the mother of a teen mother
3. can't vote for her because the MSM has already damaged her beyond repair
4. can't vote for her because she should be a full time mom, not a politician
5. can't vote for her because she's the reason McCain lost
And I'm sure there are more. Now, look at all those feeble arguments. What do they have in common? I'll tell you what... they're all excuses a liberal posing as a conservative would use. Think about it... what better way for liberal trolls to engrain themselves in a conservative forum than to 'blend in on every topic EXCEPT Sarah Palin' only to be bolsters by other trolls 'who feel the same way'. They tried it at Team Sarah. And it looks like they're already here.

Yeah right. Reagan had the same problem. Most people from California if I remember were agast that we would vote for Reagan as he was unpopular in California for raising taxes.

Defending someone that knocks Palin. Figured you would do that. Fits your MO with posting this ridiculous hit piece.

And lets not forget the now-infamous footage of Governor Palin pardoning one Thanksgiving turkey as another was slaughtered behind her. So, what do you want to eat for Thanksgiving, TOFU??
It's really easier to enjoy a turkey dinner when the turkey's dead before it gets stuffed and put in an oven.

Born in Baton Rouge Louisiana...so what are you talking about?
To: daylilly
Jindal was born here.... Piyush Jindal (pronounced /ˈdʒɪndəl/) was born on June 10, 1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Punjabi Indian immigrants Amar and Raj Jindal, who had recently arrived for Amar to attend graduate school at Louisiana State University.[1] His father, Amar, left India and his ancestral family village of Khanpura in 1970.[2] His mother, Raj, is an information technology director for the Louisiana Department of Labor.[3] According to family lore, Jindal chose to re-name himself "Bobby" inspired by the sitcom character Bobby Brady after watching The Brady Bunch television series at age four. He has been known by his adopted nickname ever sinceas a civil servant, politician, student, and writerthough legally his name remains Piyush Jindal.[4] Jindal was born and raised a Hindu, but converted to Catholicism in high school.[5] As conveyed by Louisiana political writer John Maginnis, Jindal has also offered his religious testimony before Baptist and Pentecostal congregations.[6] He attended public school at Baton Rouge Magnet High School. Following high school, Jindal attended Brown University, graduating with honors in biology and public policy.[7] Although he had thought of a career in medicine or law and was accepted by Harvard Medical School[citation needed] and Yale Law School[citation needed], he chose to pursue a political career. He received a master's degree in political science from New College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar. After Oxford, he joined McKinsey & Company, a consulting firm, where he advised Fortune 500 companies. In 1996 Jindal married Supriya Jolly (born 1972). The couple have three children: Selia Elizabeth, Shaan Robert, and Slade Ryan. From Wikipedia entry, Bobby Jindal

“Sarah Palin’s Problem” is that under-30 voters have accepted the comedy show caricature of her hook, line, and sinker. There’s no way back from that - she’ll be a joke to them forever.

Palin found out the day before at least. (I link to the transcript at my blog.) Her husband and she allowed it to happen.
Then after Bristol's totally botched it, sent the message that she disrespects her parents, her mother had no impact on her decision not to kill the child, abstinence is unrealistic, kids should wait 10 years to have immoral sex because then it will be "easier" THEN Governor Palin comes in and praises Bristol as a role model / advocate of whom she's really, really proud.
I've no need to act like the Dems who sold their souls to defend everything Clinton did. This was a big mistake. I hope she can correct course.

What in the world was she thinking to allow her daughter Bristol, an eighteen year old unmarried mother, to proffer a national interview?Huh? Since when does an adult US citizen need her mother's permission to give a media interview? Bristol is making a bundle of money from her media appearances, giving herself independence so she doesn't have to put up with her mother's crap anymore and doesn't have to marry the scummy Levi Johnston. Her mother, meanwhile, owes a bundle in back taxes and is much more interested in self-promotion than in playing a positive role in her adult daughter's life. Go Bristol!
