Couldn’t work because conservatives are too busy working to make a living and can’t take the 3-5 days off it would take to make the round trip.

I do agree, however, that our politicians have stopped listening to mere protests that have no ‘punch’. How about an alternative that’s workable...

Do the same thing at and around local federal office buildings all over the country. Accomplish the same thing but do it nationwide. Let those who are within driving distance of DC do DC, but the rest of us can do the same thing nationally at our local federal facilities. It would take grassroots organization and planning on an extensive scale to coordinate a synchronized movement nationwide, and I believe that’s what the Chicago Tea party is trying to accomplish on July 4 this year. Perhaps we need to merge ideas.

I’ve been looking for a reason to make a 2nd cross country motorcycle trip this year. 50,000 motorcycles with loud pipes to add the commotion - you betcha.

And everybody remain silent, just stand looking at them, and then disperse silently, it’ll scare the crap out of them

I'm guessing you don't actually live and work here in the DC Metro area.

WHEN IT'S TIME, millions need to descend peacefully on D.C.

Millions? I'm sorry, but I live nowhere near D.C. and I work for a living. Any sort of centralized protest is bound to fail. Conservatives are busy people, and D.C. is WAY out of the way for most of us. It's got to be a protest that people can get involved in where they live. And not necessarily street-theater stuff, either.

I’ve seen some postings on FR about a Washington gathering in early September. I always like to take a vacation after Labor Day when things are less crowded. I’m planning to make DC a stop this September so I can join this gathering. If you’re retired or can schedule a vacation for September, then it should be possible to attend such an event. In Chicago, I’ve seen the dates April 15 and July 4 for a local gathering. I will be attending those events as well.

I remember standing on the TN capitol’s steps, seeing all those people, hearing all those horns (including a retired fire truck or two) and grinning ear to ear at the thought that we were letting our elected officials know who really has the power.

I am 70 years old, and I would probably come, or at least get envolved locally.

What would be GREAT, is the have Revolationary Re Enactors at these protests, along with their FIFE & DRUMS.

This has to be seen for what it is a Revolution.

I agree that local, state and federal protests are essential to getting our message out. And they should continue until they are effective. Count me in!

"I haven't fully fleshed this out.."

We would never have guessed.

(1) Mass demonstrations are for the dummy-crats. Conservatives usually have better things to do that day.

(2) There's absolutely no way you would be able to surpass the numbers of socialists counter-demonstrating against your little knot of protestors.

(3) Your brilliant idea of simply going there with no other planning practically guarantees that nobody would even hazard a guess as to why you are there.

(4) If your own Congressman and Senator aren't already standing up for you, what makes you think Congress will even notice, let alone do the right thing? (Remember, over half of them are dummy-crats.)

We need to do something to get attention. There are people ready. I see people wanting to start up separate revolts. NOT GOING TO WORK. It needs to be WELL PLANNED and a very future time so people can make plans well ahead of time. This will be what a working person would need to be off for either 1 or more days. NUMBERS are important! LET FIGHT!!
