Saul Alinsky on "Change"...
From Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing:

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution."

Saul Alinsky, The Latter Rain

A Landslide Mandate For Change

Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!

We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-people’s movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all people’s movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.

The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and people’s unity.

There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.

The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

I just found the author of this “posting”...

The author is — tps — whomever that is. It’s an unidentified poster, in a “comments sections” of another article that was posted.

I mean, if you’re gonna posted *anonymous* posters — who “comment” on blog entries — you might as well post Donald Duck... LOL..

The *very least* one could do — is to *document* who posted it where it came from and so on...

The webpage for a *different blog article* is — http://patdollard.com/2008/11/discovered-2006-audio-obama’s-chief-of-staff-describes-mandatory-civil-service-plan/

The *anonymous poster* is tps and he comments further on down the page in the comments section. The date and time of the “comment entry” is — November 12th, 2008 at 11:45 pm.

“Slowly, as the pieces fit together, we shared a horrifying epiphany: the banks, corporations and investors acting in each global region were the exact same players. They were a relatively small group that reappeared again and again in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Asia accompanied by the same well-known accounting firms and law firms.

Clearly, there was a global financial coup d’etat underway.

The magnitude of what was happening was overwhelming. In the 1990’s, millions of people in Russia had woken up to find their bank accounts and pension funds simply gone – eradicated by a falling currency or stolen by mobsters who laundered money back into big New York Fed member banks for reinvestment to fuel the debt bubble.

Reports of politicians, government officials, academics, and intelligence agencies facilitating the racketeering and theft were compelling. One lawyer in Russia, living without electricity and growing food to prevent starvation, was quoted as saying, “We are being de-modernized.”

Before you fret too much, it’s important to consider a few things.

When I look at Obambi, I see a poor, ambitious schmuck who has been given the Captain’s hat and told he is in charge, for the last 15 minutes of the voyage of the Titanic. There is nowhere for him to go but down.

No doubt he is filled to the brim with all sorts of ambitious plans and schemes. But it doesn’t matter.

As he was leaving office, to be replaced by his Vice President Martin Van Buren, Andrew Jackson neatly popped an economic bubble, that caused the worst economic collapse in US history to that point, and almost matched the Great Depression. Gee, thanks boss.

But Obama now finds himself in Martin Van Buren’s shoes. But don’t blame everything on W. Bush, in this case. Bush saw the catastrophe coming from a mile away, and tried to mitigate it, but the Democrat congress wouldn’t play.

So perhaps it was a good thing that the Republicans got creamed in the election. Even if some talented Republican could Jerry-rig the economy to plod on for another year or two, it was obvious that this monster needs a major readjustment.

And Obama is as helpless to save the old economy as he would have been in saving the Titanic, 15 minutes before plonk.

Personally, I am hoping they are getting ready to introduce us to a highly intelligent and benevolent and beautiful race of Amazons from another star system who will cure all disease, give us a credit card we don’t have to worry about paying off, and rid the world of liberalism.

If you are the author of this, please, please tell us there are more who know and believe as you do now working in our educational system. That is our only hope. We need educators to offset what the plans of people like Obama are planning to do to our children's minds and our country.

I, too, have sensed this for years...ever since my children started college (in the 80's)and I listened as their ideas changed from mostly conservative to liberal because of the indoctrination they had from their professors. Luckily I won one of them back.

But there are thousands out there in what used to be America, who have no idea as you stated, of what America was once or why, and who have accepted the ideals of socialism/communism/Marxism and that "everyone should work for the common good, then everyone will be happy and equal, and government controls it all," beliefs that derranged professors crammed down their throats.

How did these educators get so numerous and go so unchecked for so long? No wonder so many politicians harbor the same thoughts...they have gone to school with, befriended, socialized with and been mentored by the liberal education loons. It is frightening. As it is said: "Those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat it."

I just hope there are enough educators like you who can address this in our classrooms before it is too late

The election of Obama means something.

It was symbolism he used to get elected. And the symbolism expressed from words to posters, the lack of showing face on military installations or with the troops, the types of shows he went on and the sort of people he associated with or support him today, are all things that should make us be fearful.
