That only matters if it is one of the five more conservative judges. If it is one of the more liberal other four, which is likely, it won’t matter a lot.
In order, from most likely to leave or die is Ruth Bader Ginsburg, John Paul Stevens, and David Suter (who doesn’t like Washington).
Even money on Kennedy and Thomas.
On the up side Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and Alito are there for the long term, still relatively young. If they start having accidents, look out. The left are the ones who will be replaced, undoubtedly by other lefties.
I’m not sure about the swing vote Kennedy, age health, wise.
