CNBC's Santelli Invited to the White House By Jeff Poor Created 2009-02-20 15:45

Will wonders ever cease? First, a NBC network airs its Chicago Mercantile Exchange floor reporter making a call to action [1] against all the populism that has inundated the political dialogue over the past six months. Now, the same reporter, Rick Santelli, has been invited by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to the White House.

On CNBC's "Street Signs" Feb. 20, Santelli told viewers he would accept Gibbs invitation and although his critics thought he was over-the-top [2], he still felt good about his impassioned plea.

"Well, I tell you what Melissa Lee," Santelli said. "It's been a wild afternoon, but I do want to point out - I do believe I was invited to the White House by Mr. Gibbs and I want to let him know, I would love to. I would love to accept and the decaf sounds good, but I prefer tea, but thank you for bring this into the forefront. This is an issue that means a lot to everybody and I'm glad it's getting a high degree of introspection, debate and I think that's essential. I feel really good about that."

Gibbs in his Feb. 20 White House press briefing had urged Santelli to become familiar with the plan before he started criticizing it. Santelli said he would be happy to, but he hinted the last major piece of legislation that involved the public's tax money - the $787 billion stimulus plan - was forced through Congress without anyone reading it.

"Listen, I'd be more than happy to read any plan," Santelli said. "You know, I know that many congressmen didn't read the three-quarter of a trillion dollar, 1100-page plan. But, I'd love to show up. I want a dialogue. Enlighten me, enlighten America. Make us see the light. We want to be participating. We want this to work. We just want to all feel we're being treated fairly and equally."

I do feel there is some merit to the claims that Obama and some around him are skilled at using NLP to ‘convert’ non-believers into believers after just one session or meeting.
There was a narrated YOUTUBE video out just before he was elected analyzing Obamas hypnotic technique as he worked the crowds while using NLP to suggest to the crowd that he WAS god and would protect them. Here’s a doc that provides a precise analysis of what might be Obama’s NLP in action - if anyone is interested in reading it, the first 15 pages can be skimmed but the rest of the document bears close reading, including the footnotes.

Wish this guy could read it before he goes ‘to the principals’ office’

Gibbs' invite sounded like this piece of dialogue:

Captain, Road Prison 36: You run one time, you got yourself a set of chains. You run twice you got yourself two sets. You ain't gonna need no third set, 'cause you gonna get your mind right.

yeah, we know what happens when people meet with Pres_ent one on one. We’ve seen it too many times. I hope Mr Santelli has every sort of protection imaginable if he decides to go. I hope he doesn’t.

DON’T GO!! Remember how ‘nice’ Katie Couric was to Sarah Palin? These folks are NOT your friends. They will pinch you where it doesn’t show. You will never be seen again. They will threaten you.

‘Do not eat with liars and bad folks’ — how does that go? in the Bible... (loose translation, haha).

If Santelli's going to meet with Obama, he should insist it be on neutral territory, like Hooters.

Hope he doesn't own a horse, though....

Rick Santelli is great. He is the only person on CNBC worth a damn. Seriously. He has gotten into some major arguments with Steve Liesman. They let them go on because it is good ratings.

Santelli is the only one who speaks with common sense. The rest of them are paid liars and shills to prop up the markets and try to inspire confidence so people maintain the status quo. I don’t know why Santelli hasn’t been fired by now for all his honesty. The game is, they try to make him look like a nut and marginalize him. When he went on his tea party rant, the studio hosts were saying he was making them scared and asking should they call the national guard.

They are all liars and shills but Santelli. Every once in a while, Dylan Ratigan slips up and shows a crack in the facade of market confidence. A bit of honesty slips out. But Santelli is the only honest one among them and the rest are all paid hacks to get you to commit your money to propping up the markets so the bankers, brokers and businessmen can take your money.

I suspect that Obama believes that he can “touch” Rick and convert him over to his vision.

The truth is...Rick is about 100 percent common sense. He’ll stand there for about six seconds, and then ask how anyone can possibly believe all this stimulus chit-chat? Obama will put his hand on Rick’s shoulder, to emphasize his vision. Then finally...Rick will ask if the signers of the Constitution also rammed it through....without reading it?

At this point, Obama will freak out and starting running in circles. Secret Service personnel will take him to the underground medical facility and wait for VP to tell them what to do with a total nutcase. Rick will walk out...catch a cab...and have a beer over at Hooters DC before flying home.

Obama/Gibbs to Santelli at WH: Now you listen here, punk. You're too smart for your own good. When you leave here, you go back to TV and tell them how wrong you were and that you're sorry for treating the Messi...er... the President in such an ill-concieved manner.

Obozo wants to take him out back behind the wood shed and threaten him.

Commies are all alike, cannot tolerate freedom of though, criticism, or the truth.

Okay, I will accept that as much as I don’t want too...if I must.

I suggest he not take a bath until “meeting day.” In those days, he should run several miles every day to get himself really smelly...and wear the same clothes to the meeting.

That meeting will last just a few seconds like “hello..PEW!!!...goodbye.

His boss is Immelt who is on some commission of something of Obama’s. The man is doomed.

I hope he does not come back as a Stepford Obambot.

"...decaf sounds good, but I prefer tea..."

Hey Rick, don't forget Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya drank poisoned tea, and when that didn't work, she was shot to death.

"Muratov said Politkovskaya had not eaten anything that day and that she felt sick after drinking tea on the plane. He did not speculate on who might have poisoned her. Politkovskaya is now recovering in a Moscow clinic."
