The only financial system that makes any real sense is a pure barter system. Fractional reserve banking with unfunded paper currency is just nuts. We never should have let private banks control our money supply and we never should have let our curency become decoupled from precious metal. Perhaps when the dust finally settles from this current crisis, we can get back to a more stable currency and a more perfect union with our government.
