After a month of wrangling, 246 House Democrats, 57 Senate Democrats and three Senate Republicans voted late last week to pass a compromise economic recovery package of spending provisions, tax cuts and aid to laid-off workers and their families. The 1,073-page bill, signed into law Monday by President Obama, contains hundreds of provisions. This is how they add up. Click the columns to sort by amount or type of spending, and see a summary table below.

A lot of categories and columns seem to be missing:

   - Graft
 - Corruption
 - Kickbacks
 - Union payoffs
 - Bribery
 - Extortion
 - Malfeasance
 - Ineptitude
 - Pork
 - Waste

 Just to name a few...

    Wow. Check out the numbers.
$787,241,000,000 for Medicaid???? (By FAR the biggest portion of the entire bill and at least 40% of the entire thing). How is that stimulus again?
This whole thing was a backdoor into a national health care system.

Actually, misread the chart the first time.
Only (I know, “only”) $90,000,000 to Medicaid

    I bookmarked it. Looks informative.
According to the Totals chart (if I’m reading it correctly), out of 18 categories, the MOST (in millions) is going to:
“Aid to states for Medicaid” - $790,614
“Tax cuts” - $301,278
“Health IT” - $90,044
“Labor & volunteering, healthcare, social services, education, social security” - $72,564
The LEAST is going to:
“Oversight” - $25
“Foreign relations” - $602
“Homeland Security” - $2,755
“Military and veterans” - $4,281
“Defense” - $4,555
I hope someone will double-check my numbers. Correct me if I’m wrong.
