WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama plans to travel and campaign more to pressure Republicans in Congress rather than trying to win their loyalty, sources say.
Now that a mammoth, $787 billion economic stimulus bill has been approved virtually without Republican support, White House advisers have determined that Capitol Hill horse-trading with GOP opponents wasn't successful and that Obama should instead tap his immense popularity and public salesmanship skills to push legislation in the future, the Washington publication Politico reported Saturday.
"We've got to get him out of that White House," a unnamed top White House adviser said, listing "some very valuable lessons" learned from the stimulus fight. "He's happier, he's better, he's more effective. The inside game is important, but it's actually not where the success of his presidency is going to come."
Obama plans to use the tactic in upcoming pushes to pass New Deal-style plans to rescue struggling homeowners and rewrite regulations on the financial markets, plus a budget proposal that lays the groundwork for sweeping healthcare reform, Politico said.
Remember ridicule is the most effective tool in the box. Keep making jokes about Harry Reid and the train to Vegas, about Pelosi and salt marsh mouse, little Tommy Daschle, daschlecare and assisted suicide.
I said on one board that Harry Reid reminded me of the principal in Ferris’ Buhler’s Day Off, a self interested, little guy with a Napoleon complex and a lot of personal baggage. Concentrate on Pelosi and Reid, they are much more vulnerable than Obama. Blame the problems on Pelosi and Reid and Obama’s lack of experience.
Remember, People get ready, there’s a train a comin’, don’t need no ticket, just thank Harry Reid. People get ready for the train to Vegas, pickin’ up passengers along the California coast.
Watch, this is the Victory Lap for Obama, he is going to visit all the folks that will be receiving the taxpayer loot and make sure they know who got it for them.
He will be going only to heavily supporter dominated areas, think blue metros, no one will be in the audience except the Obots. Any questions will be manufactured, the press will cover it extensively but most importantly BO will be out of the smoke/drug free confines of the WhiteHouse!

FDR tried that in blasting Conservative Democrats and it was a spectacular failure that resulted in a blowback in the 1938 midterm elections (alas, the GOP had been so obliterated in 1936, they were too far away from winning back control, but won enough numbers to give him heartburn).
Obama wants to set up more Henriettas and Julios. He’s a pop idol doing the pop idol thing. He wants to be Oprah, not president.

This is priceless! After almost four weeks in office an unnamed top White House adviser is telling us in not so many words that HolyO has no business being in the White House, that’s he’s NOT happy, NOT effective, that he’s going crazy because he literally doesn’t know what he is doing. So they are making a traveling salesman out of him. And so who will be minding the store???
Let’s turn up the birth certificate pressure and put this a-hole out of his misery!!!

Also time to educate everyone we know since the MSM isn’t going to. I’m disheartened by really good people who have drank the Obama kool-aid. It’s truly dismaying. But that means then those of us who see through this empty suit rhetoric must help educate those who don’t.

Today is President’s Day, and what better way to honor their memory than to voice our opposition to a fraud in the White House.
LMAO. They can’t take the fact being out there that Demonrats control all of our gov’t, can they?! He kept pushing this charade about how he was this centrist and was going to make everything all unicorns and castles and now he is getting desperate to try to put a Republican front on where the blame lies. A little too late now that this porkulus is all his and then some and it will only get worse for this fraud. Time for a little reality and the myth to be shattered.
