Democratic staffers released the final version of the stimulus bill at about 11 pm last night after delaying the release for hours to put it into a format which people cannot search on their home computers.
Instead of publishing the bill as a regular internet document -- which people can search by key words and otherwise, the Dems took hours to convert the final bill from the regular searchable format into pdf files, which can be read but not searched.
Three of the four .pdf files had no text embedded, just images of the text, which did not permit text searches of the bill. That move to conceal the bills provisions had not been remedied this morning at the time of publication of this article. (You can find the entire bill on the House Appropriations [http://appropriations.house.gov] website.)

The people who wrote it are not to be trusted the pro-American Congressmen and women surely know this.
Vote it down for that reason alone!

This is inaccurate.
Acrobat Reader has had a search function built into it since version 5, I believe. And it’s free.

If we dodge this bullet, it will reform and come at us again. They only have to win once.

But don’t expect any of this disgraceful activity to give Specter pause. Nope. Far too important a bill. Even though he hasn’t a clue what it contains.

.pdfs which are just images and don’t contain text aren’t searchable.
If any Repub had a spine, he’d post it as searchable text.

This is inaccurate. Acrobat Reader has had a search function built into it since version 5, I believe. And its free. They said they put it in images. images are not searchable. I personally do not understand why people are not outraged. I guess they just dont know.

It occurred to me that I should look before I post; can’t do that where I am at the moment.
If that’s the case then the D’s are craven.

Its okay folks, this has to happen if we are going to educate the American People about President Obama’s laughable claims of ‘transparency’.

They scanned the documents and put them in the pdf as images. Acrobat reader cant search images as that would entail using optical character recognition (OCR).
