You’re probably right. It’s also unlikely to see Swann or Ridge challenge Specter.
Toomey, yes, of course, as he tried last time around.
Something to consider about PA - Ron Paul did very well in the Republican Primary in PA.
A Ron Paul Republican stands a chance of beating Specter in the Primary.
We lost because of Iraq and other things in 06. We also let Democrats off the hook on a lot worse than what we ourselves and GOP leaders do. Having his family nearer to where he goes to work did not stop Santorum from being a very good Senator, one who will be missed by me at least, and my point was that he deserved re-election in any case. Had santorum and George Allen who also deserved re-election been in DC today - THE STIMULUS BILL WOULD BE DEAD. Bringing up his minor flaws is beyond bothersome because it is kicking a good man when he’s down. I love Sen Coburn too, top 5 senator, but even he got attacked for cr8ppy bogus reasons.
“People are STARVING for honesty. It’s up to us to give it to them.”
Ah ha, so the very dishonest lyin’ about life Casey got elected because people are starving for honesty. My cynicism only increases when you mention stuff
Fact is Santorum was serious about GWOT and showed conservative values and the gay activists targetted millions against Santorum to take him down. Did you not know that? It was a dishonest campaign and honesty LOST.
Here’s honesty: There is a huge double standard in ethics between Democrats and Republicans. PA elected Murtha, Rendell, and Rezko-tied Obama. They are unethical and dishonest, far beyond any Republican in office. Case closed.
It doesn't stick because Coburn's conduct is above reproach. Santorum's was not, IMO.

Like I don't know that. Which is why the GOP has to come up with solid, honest candidates.

No. Coburn gets re-elected because he’s in OK, one of the most conservative states in the nation. PA otoh is a pit of liberal and labor machine politics. If Coburn was in PA he’d be unelectable. Santorum’s real crime was being a guy with an ‘R’ next to his name in a blue state in 2006.
He is a good man but his career is over because too many Americans have strayed from supporting conservatives in too many states.
