President Obama is caught smack in the middle of a family feud among 9/11 relatives of a financier killed at Ground Zero, The Post has learned.
The brothers of Adam Arias went ballistic when they learned that their aunt, Valerie Lucznikowska, was among the 9/11 relatives invited to last week's White House meeting with Obama. The brothers were not invited.

No. That was afterwards yet now I'm wondering if that bumping his head was intentional.
The incompetence and arrogance are unbelievable.
White House Counsel Greg Craig, often seen whispering in the president's ear during question periods, admitted later to Ms. Burlingame that the chief executive was getting the facts of the law wrong during the discussion with the families. Craig asked her if CIPA covers a case in which terrorists defend themselves, noting that "this is something we hadn't contemplated." If nothing else, this admission of ignorance is more evidence that the decision to rush ahead with closing Guantanamo and shutting down the military tribunals was ill-conceived, poorly planned, and may ultimately be injurious to our national security. The president may talk a good game about "swift, certain justice," but it is becoming clear that justice will not be swift, is highly uncertain, and in the end may not even be ju
Oh yeah! He could appoint that fat, ugly, commie broad he’s just mominated as Solicitor General to the Supreme Court (as is much predicted).
BUMP
O’Reilly is a phony. He’s been defending zero since the campaign. Republicans (or independents) who are going to bat for this guy are putting their credibility on the line. I feel that we are winning the PR war on this one. It’s only been 3 weeks and the tide is already turning aginst Community Organizer 44.
that is an understatement!
tide is not turning fast enough for me.
Actually, Aunt Valerie was representing the ACLU's view. She, along with several others at the meeting, signed onto a 12/10/2008 letter that is only posted on the ACLU's site. She also hacks for More Peaceful Tomorrows, a group she has belonged to since before 9/11; members of it had praised the Taliban for their treatment of women in Afghanistan after trips there. After 9/11, they added 'September 11 Families for' in front of their group's name and were among the first to protest against our inavsion of Afghanistan. Here's the real deal: the ACLU's proxies ran the guest list for the White House for last Friday's meeting, limited dissent, and plugged in ringers like Beverly. Obama is being led around by the detainees' lawyers on this and spinning just as fast as he can.
I do not tell you this to gossip; America needs to know they are being played for fools on this issue by both amateurs and olds pros now seated in the deck chairs at the Obama White House. I ask my fellow Freepers to spread the word widely near (lots of pings here) and then go wide.
One more point. Lorraine Arias-Beliveau's commentary appeared in the NY Daily News the Sunday before Friday's meeting. Surely, the New York area family members controling the invitation list (and they were) knew she was vehemently against closing Gitmo. In fact, she was there at Guantanamo observing the trials of KSM and his fellow mass-murderers when President Obama ordered the Military Commissions delayed.
This Obama administration... ugh, my head is spinning!
No.
Well at least up to this point in his term.
I hope you're right, but it's not turning fast enough for me. Most polls have B. Hussein Obama up pretty high, and the idiots in my home state of Connecticut give him a near-70% approval rating. Grrrr....
Thanks for the ping!
And the cry goes up again from Ol’bunghole’s new bleating heart left followers...O baabaabaa ma!,O baabaabaa ma!,O baabaabaa ma! save us O baabaabaa ma!
“Could the zero be any more of a turd?”
See my tagline.
PROTESTING WAR
January 20, 2003
Valerie Lucznikowska belongs to a group called peace for tomorrow, made up of people who lost loved ones on 9/11.
VALERIE LUCZNIKOWSKA: It wasn’t Iraqis who flew into the world trade center. It was mostly Saudis on the planes. Iraq did not commit that.
BETTY ANN BOWSER: So even if the U.N. was on board?
VALERIE LUCZNIKOWSKA: Perhaps if the U.N. were completely on board. If the U.N. could vote on it completely, perhaps in that instance, because that would mean that they found true evidence. That would be a different story. But no evidence has been found. Some empty shell casings are not true evidence.
Valerie Lucznikowska, a 64-year-old Manhattanite and public relations executive, carried a sign with a picture of her 37-year-old nephew, Adam Arias, who was killed as he fled from the World Trade Center. The legend: “Not in His Name.”
Lucznikowska is a Democratic activist who thinks her party “eviscerated itself” by endorsing the war resolution in Congress. She resents the idea that bombing Baghdad would somehow ease the suffering of the victims’ families. “The 9/11 families can’t be healed by seeing other people’s families being destroyed,” she says grimly.
Peaceful Tomorrows was founded, in 2002, by family members of those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. who have united to turn their grief into action for peace and justice. Their founding mission statement called for “a multilateral, collaborative effort to bring those responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks to justice in accordance with the principles of international law.”
