Salma Hayek was so taken aback by the plight of an African woman in Sierra Leone who was unable to breastfeed her child that the star breastfed the newborn herself.
The 42-year-old actress, who was nursing her own daughter Valentina at the time, offered to help when the baby's mother stopped producing milk.

How old was this kid?
Some day, someone will tell him what he did that day. He will never be that close to perfection again!

I don’t find it gross. If Ms. Hayek is healthy, there’s nothing wrong with it. Had I been there and been in a position to help in that way, I would have made the same offer to a miserable mother and her starving child. And though it may have been used for publicity, I doubt very much that any nursing mother would have said, “Hm, here is a starving baby, I think I’ll haul out a boob and offer it a drink so that people will buy more tickets to my next movie.”

I think it is beautiful. I loathe the liberalism of Hollywood but when something like this happens I don’t know what else to call it but genuine compassion. I am a dad of 6 and I have witnessed what happens to a mothers heart when she sees ANY child suffering.
She did nothing wrong in this moment but rather did everything right.
