Officials say Hasan is shooter in Ft. Hood attacks
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Associated Press is reporting that a source has told them the shooting suspect in Thursday’s attacks on the Fort Hood Army Post in Texas is Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan, an Army mental health professional.
The attacks on Ft. Hood left 12 people dead and 31 wounded. Authorities killed the gunman, who is said to be Hasan, and apprehended two other soldiers suspected in the attack.
According to the AP, a defense official said Hasan was a mental health professional—either an Army psychologist or psychiatrist. It’s not known if he was treating people at the post.
The AP said that officials are trying to determine if Hasan was his birth name, or if he converted to the Islamic faith at some point in his life. He was believed to have been in his late 30s......

AP sources: Authorities had concerns about suspect
WASHINGTON — Federal law enforcement officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats.
The officials say the postings appeared to have been made by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who was killed during the shooting incident that left least 11 others dead and 31 wounded. The officials say they are still trying to confirm that he was the author. They say an official investigation was not opened......

Horrible day yesterday just horrible, I can’t believe this POS was allowed to remain in the Army. I keep thinking they are at fault as much as the shooter for all these deaths.
Female officer went in and confronted this scum by herself as there wasn’t time to wait for backup - God speed to her recovery.
There were some jerks on twitter upon hearing this POS name were trying to defend him already - it’s so maddening that people are so damn stupid these days!!! I asked them if they thought he was Amish or ???? What?
I thought at first it might be a multiple base attack on our country by terrorists never once thinking it would be one of their own.
Also, quite troubling is the easy access on Google of the overview of Ft Hood!!! Then, they said flyover was denied at this time - at this time?? Shouldn’t military bases always be no fly - I thought they were.
ABC appears to be making excuses for this POS - saying could be suffering from stress.
Although they did mention he gave away copies of his Koran among other belongings recently.

She was first soldier I’d today. It was just on FOX. I know Jon’s family is in terrible grief for her & her unborn child. She was there to fill out paperwork for status change.
Prayers for Jon and her family - very sad.
