President Obama has demanded that defense chiefs review their strategy in Afghanistan before going ahead with a troop surge, the Sunday Times reported.
There is concern among senior Democrats that the military is preparing to send up to 30,000 extra troops without a coherent plan or exit strategy.
The Pentagon was set to announce the deployment of 17,000 extra soldiers and marines last week but Defense Secretary Robert Gates postponed the decision after questions from Obama.

OMG I always said this liberal was not going to fight in Afghanistan much less pakistan, no matter what he said.
Did anyone notice his ONLY reference to Afghanistan in the inaugaral address was that we would “forge a peace” there?
1. Democrats have no clue whatsoever as to what is actually going on.
2. Leave the war to the military, not Democrats. The military actually has a track record of success in what it does, so long as Democrats are not involved...

I think that to Obama, “forge a peace” is an anagram for "surrender".
To paraphrase Don Meredith, “Turn out the lights, the country’s over”.
Even for a Chicago hack, Obozo breaks his promises/pledges/ camapaign positions with brethtaking speed. So now the centerpiece for HIS offensive War on Terror is up for review [Dimspeak for ‘committee it to death’].

I should go find every video of him saying ‘We’re ignoring the real threat, Afghanistan’, blah. If they’re not scrubbed first.

Deja Vu Viet Nam. The DemoRATS “ran” that disaster too. They would not let the military FIGHT THE WAR TO WIN IT. Those games cost us 50,000 good men. And now the idiot liberal voters put another pile of power-mad DemoRATS in charge of another war.
Why should the outcome be any different, other than Obama just turning tail and running away from it? He, or nobody in his cabinet (excepting the military) know what to do with it, or even how to fight a war to WIN IT.
Politics are far more important to DemoRATS than results. Viet Nam and the 50,000 ghosts of that war would support that assertion.

They seem to be unhappy with Karzai on the drug issue. I think they want him gone and to install a Rat selected figure head. So much for democracy and elections.
