I do not believe in the least that there is not pressure that can be brought to bear upon these three rogues; neither do I believe that they cannot be brought back onto the reservation--and I do mean in a very right here and right now manner. Whomsoever was left to tend the party's spine while the others went off to make nice and play in the middle of the street with the kids from across the way needs to show that backbone NOW.
“shoutingandpointing”: rude and base though such behaviors may be, it is socially acceptable to shout and point once all other more “cultured” means of drawing the necessary attention to the problem have been exhausted, provided one maintains at least a modicum of civility; e.g, “Pardon me, but LOOK! OVER THERE! NITWIT! THE BARN IS ON FIRE!" And do not forget to say, "Thank you," too. ” ;)
Cross Action News has just conducted an interview with Melanie Morgan live from DC...check it out on Cross Action News.com
Sen. Spector:
ALL numbers are busy and will bounce you to voice mail, each of which will in turn tell you that the mailbox is full. SEND AN EMAIL and KEEP CALLING.
Sen. Collins:
Lines busy and/or voicemail boxes full until I got through at the Bangor number after several attempts through he entire list. A polite staffer answered and took my message.
Sen. Snowe:
Same story, until I got to Bangor. A polite staffer answered and took my message.
During lunch, the restaurant TV got switched to CNN--that cost them my desert and was reflected in the tip. They repeatedly ran a segment—every 5-10 minutes(?)—citing polls claiming the majority of people support the 0, the “package,” and the pro-bewilderus senators. Given the responses I have received when calling and emailing over the past week and continuing through today, I call 100% complete BS on that.
The vast majority of the American People do not support this albatross. Those phone lines are a far better indicator of the mood of the constituency than any poll. Most any dolt can and will respond as desired when asked the right question. It is an entirely different animal that of his own volition calls, writes and sends an email or a letter. You can be certain that there are an awful lot of frustrated folks who feel the same way as those who do contact their legislators, but cjoose to sit quietly on the sidelines and steam. They'll send their messages on the next election day and the lawmakers know it.
I know this comes as a shock to you, FRiends, but the panicked msm is running a full-court press telling The People sumpin’ what “just ain't so!” (/s)

Specter’s PA offices voicemail boxes are NOT FULL!!! Join me in letting Specter know what you think of the stimulus bill!!!! LOL
The MSM no longer does any of its own research. They rely on the news releases that are spoon fed to them....To get our message out you must write your own news release...make it look official and mass release it to the MSM.
Maybe FR should open its own news bureau.
Got my pj top with my FR badge on it out this AM.....
Time to get dressed to get to work.
1And the Media, who utter every word from the mouth of The One (piss be upon him), repeated The Word in many and diverse ways
2And the Sheep heard every word from the mouth of the Media, and they believed, saying "Who is like unto The One (his name be pissed), who brings us hopeful change for pie?"
3And the Sheep did feast upon every word from the Media, and The One (piss upon him) caused his countenance to appear pleased.
Here Endeth The Lesson.

But I thought we already were our own news bureau. :)
We simply are not as insidious as those "other guys." Well, that, and the fact that FReepers get their facts straight; find the primary source, verify; find a second and collaborating source, verify; find a third and collaborating source, verify; then verify the verifications; and then put the facts to the acid test of their fellow FReepers' knowledge, insight, and commentary.
"FRee N(ews) N(etwork): where you get it Right, or you don't get it." ;)
OS that is hilarious!

LOL! I love it, man...and the bunny slippers are the perfect touch.
Called both Senator Bayh and Lugar’s office yesterday. Neither had taken a position on this bill as of yet. I asked Lugar’s staff aide what were the percentage of yea vs. nay’s on the stimulus. She said 50-50. I guess the ads asking for people to call Lugar’s office telling him to support the bill are working. Both need more phone calls.
