In his Williamsburg speech, Obama also gave his most concise answer yet to the question of whether the stimulus bill will really stimulate the economy. His answer: if it's spending, it's stimulus. And if it's full of earmarks, well, stuff happens:
THE PRESIDENT: Then there's the argument, well, this is full of pet projects. When was the last time that we saw a bill of this magnitude move out with no earmarks in it? Not one. (Applause.) And when you start asking, well, what is it exactly that is such a problem that you're seeing, where's all this waste and spending? Well, you know, you want to replace the federal fleet with hybrid cars. Well, why wouldn't we want to do that? (Laughter.) That creates jobs for people who make those cars. It saves the federal government energy. It saves the taxpayers energy. (Applause.)
So then you get the argument, well, this is not a stimulus bill, this is a spending bill. What do you think a stimulus is? (Laughter and applause.) That's the whole point. No, seriously. (Laughter.) That's the point. (Applause.)
I think a "stimulus" gets money in people's hands. Tax cuts do that more quickly than government spending.
But The Messiah (tm) wouldn't know that...
I think we need to re-name the Messiah to Prophet of Doom.
Question is...what do you want to stimulate? The private sector (the workers who pay the bills) or the gov't (the workers who suck off the taxpayer)?

Govt. spending creates a job for a day. Creating/growing businesses creates jobs for life.
The GOP should just start calling it “the President’s spending bill.” Period.

Every time that guy opens his yap, the economy shrinks and consumers clasp their purses tighter to their chests.
I have to go shopping today for basics. That’s ALL I’m buying; BASICS to get by for a week or so, and I’m shopping at my local grocer so he stays in business.
Not one extra DIME of mine is going into this ‘0bamaconomy’ or into my Blue State coffers via sales tax.

Listening to Laura Ingrahm rip Obama’s speech to the dums last night. She agrees with us that he exposed his liberal views and is obviously bowing to Pelosi and Reid. I wonder how many libs watched the speech?

Herein is the Obama lie, on one hand Obama denounces partisanship opposition to his bill, on the other hand the porkulus bill is one monolithic partisan porkfest bill that doles out money to partisan liberal organizations and projects.
This is the double standard that no one has yet picked up on. Obama can’t have it both ways.
Well if one trillion dollars will create four million jobs, but the unemployed in the US is almost 12 million, why don't we spend three trillion dollars and create 12 million jobs!!!!

He is not “dumb”, he is EVIL and this is part of his plan. He knows by creating bigger government will give him more “endorsements” and more money and power to him, Pelosi and corrupt politicians. That’s all it’s about...growing government and the shift of power from the people to the government.
