...we had major news networks like MSNBC suggesting that Americans are going to blame the Republicans for "taking down" Tom Daschle. Oh, how I wish we could proudly say that we were 100% behind it instead of maybe 75%....

The other talking point I’m hearing in the office today is that its par for the course for two or three nominees to withdraw from consideration at the start of a new administration and that isn’t it refreshing that Obama said he screwed up and admits responsibility with the undercurrent being that of course Bush hid and denied etc.

Say goodbye? I hardly think so...unless the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia intends to indict him and prosecute him (and his wife) on tax evasion charges.
And here's a thought. Upon conviction all tax evaders should be sent to al-Capone's prison on al-Catraz along with the detainees at Gitmo.
