Someone with some time on their hands needs to break all this money down geographically- how much yo want to bet you'll be able to hold that map against the red states/blue states map and it will be an exact match- the blue states will be covered with $$$$, the red states will just show through.

Please send this link to your local talk show hosts. I just e-mailed mine.
We FReepers think alike. That was my first instinct too...I sent it to Howie Carr in Boston. I can see him spending some time on this, not only for laughs at the lunacy of these projects but also to hopefully inspire some people to call their senators.

The great thing about this horrible bill is that it provides insight into the Democrat mind.
I know...do the math on some of these. Divide the cost of the project by the number of jobs they say it will create. Only a democrat would find this worthwhile. Warning: Don't attempt doing the math if you have high blood pressure.

I was wondering about that myself, and am thinking (just thinking, mind you) of maybe doing it tonight after church or something. From looking at it, I don't think the state breakdown will show "Blue gets $$$$, Red gets rooked". For instance, Anniston, AL put in for a big $600 million solar power generation plant.
What would be telling would be two things:
1) Where the monies are actually allocated (remember, these lists are projects that these cities have put in for, but are not necessarily going to see any dough) once this is all said and done.
2) A correlation between Red and Blue COUNTIES, or perhaps even better, Congressional Dictricts, with the amount of money spent wasted on this stimulus plan pork-laden boondoggle.

Just looked at the projects for my state (PA). Almost every one benefits DemocRat controlled cities. Not one solitary cent is going for suburban or rural areas.

I Think PR may be the biggest recipient. One project alone $17.5 Billion.

Appalling. I’ve already sent it to several friends and family around the country. I’ve also cast a bunch of “No” votes. When I think how hard we work to earn and save money, this makes me sick to my stomach.

Yeah, $17.5 billion for one town of 38,000 people.

Traffic monitoring cameras? This is nothing but a big spending bill cleverly named “economic stimulus”.
Democrats have used the current economic situation as an excuse to pass laws that they like.
In a year or so, they will “have to” raise taxes.
To: conservativeinferno
WTF?!?!? This is the biggest piece of bullshit I have ever seen! This must be stopped!
Yes, hands down, it is the biggest I’ve ever seen. There is no job creation, just a bunch of handouts.

LOL. I hope someone remembers to bump this tomorrow for the M-F crowd.
And, from my personal view, a VERY Republican suburb of Memphis got millions, and millions. Memphis proper, VERY Democratic got zip!

I guarantee the money will get into the economy quickly!
