I made it home....my Mom called midway wanting to know when I’d be home....my Dad fell up the last stair yesterday. Now he was in the kitchen and he couldn’t get back to his chair in the living room. She needed help. Tomorrow I told her to call the doctor about a prescription for a walker, actually 2 walkers, one for upstairs and one for down. Then I told him to get on the internet and start looking for one of those “elevator” thingys that go up and down stairs.
I think I’m gonna have to get serious real quick about how to make this work. No way can my Mom help him get around. Figuring out how to keep him mobile during the day is #1 on my list, I think.

My foot hooked over the puppy gate and down I went.
Got both knees.
Nearly threw the cat across the room.
