Actual evidence of an ODS pandemic, however, is sketchy. ABC’s Jake Tapper is the only mainstream journalist who claims to have diagnosed a genuine case of ODS, using the term to describe the suggestion by Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) that Obama’s vague reference to a volunteer civilian “national security” force was evidence of totalitarian ambition.

Beyond such “fringe” ideas, however, there is no evidence that Obama’s election has driven any substantial number of conservatives into the kind of irrational frenzy George W. Bush inspired on the left. ...

I has it.

I used to laugh and make fun of those who had Bush Derangement Syndrome. But, after observing that it WORKED in the end... I don’t laugh any more. Nor will I apologize for my own “syndrome”. They can call it whatever they like.

Pointing out a cult and failings of liberalism is very very far removed from BDS.

What other reason could he possibly have for a civilian "national security" corps? We already have a military to protect us from foreign threats and police for domestic threats.
