A little-discussed provision in President Obama's economic stimulus plan would demand that every American submit to a government program for electronic medical records without a choice to opt out, and it has privacy advocates more than a little alarmed.
Patients might be alarmed, too, privacy advocates said, if they realized information such as documentation on abortions, mental health problems, impotence, being labeled as a non-compliant patient, lawsuits against doctors and sexual problems could be shared electronically with, perhaps, millions of people.

Obama has an almost unhealthy obsessoin to make all of our medical records electronic. And yes, I can easily see this being used to keep coupled who have a genetic predelection for passing down diseases from procreating, or at least keepign their sick kids out of the messiah’s expensive national health care system. Eventually it could be used to weed out the unwanted.
CHANGE! CHANGE WE CAN BELEIVE IN!!!
[The High Priests will manage our programs and files for us so long as we behave ]
I believe it!! I don’t have a doubt in the world that they are going to try to muffle us and get access to all our records and information. Controling ammunition with coded bullets.
They are already muffling our broadcasters, Hannity reports that O is not muslim. Now they are after Rush.
Right, never any chance for errors in electronic records.
Well, that would be nice, but actually, your medical records also belong to your doctor. The doctor has to keep records of all patients treated, as he is subject to all kinds of medical review boards, state boards of medical examiners, etc. Doctors’ quality of medical outcomes are also tracked, which is a good thing. That way you can compare different surgeons’ success or failure rates on various procedures.
So, your doctor may give you copies, or send copies to another doctor, but I believe is also required to keep his records.
“I’d like to see a 10 or 15 point program...”
I don’t believe conservatives are as cohesive as their opposition. How are you going to get all the people who call themselves conservatives to agree on the same 10-15 points?
Got a list?
They will tie gun ownership into this crap.
As a start, I'm looking for:
Pro-life
Pro second amendment
Pro business
Fair Tax
Build the wall, stop illegal immigration
That's 5 points. If someone tells me that tax reform is good but the Fair Tax isn't the best way, I would pay attention and consider that viewpoint. But the other stuff is non-negotiable for me.
Here is a bit from the World Net story:
“The next step, said Brase, is obvious: The government, with information about potential health weaknesses, could say to couples, “We don’t want your expensive children.”
Hmm...hasn’t Nancy P already pretty much gone there with her contraception funding attempt in the stimulus bill?
These people are a lot more transparent than they think they are.
Yes they need a plan, and they need to keep religion and social issues out of it. I made a list a while back. Would be a good starting point.
1) Balanced Budget Amendment
2) No More borrowing from Social Security revenue. If we built up the fund it would be a great asset for America.
3) Pass the Fair Tax.
4) Pass a tax incentive to help all those accountants and bean counters who lose their jobs under the Fair Tax to start new businesses.
5) Require a fixed amount of spending for Debt Reduction in the budget.
6) Require a fixed amount of spending for Catastrophe reliefe into the budget. once a cap is reached this money can be used for tax cuts.
7) Fix taxes on business, particularly banking. If the banks knew how much they had to pay every year, they could better manage the future. Volatility would subside.
8) Cap Budgetary growth on the CPI 5yr average.
9) Tax incentives for purchasing health insurance. $2k per person that needs to go on insurance.
10) Cut GOVERNMENT WASTE.
11) Eliminate corporate taxes, but instead require companies to donate a certain portion of their revenue to charity. Fix this amount as a percentage of gross revenue. Turn it into a planned operating cost. 4% might be a good number.
12) Constitutional Amendment guaranteeing new privacy rights to the people to protect them from the government.
13) Tax incentives for hiring new employees, training people, expanding business, and R & D.
Without spending a dime, our economy would take off, and the world would view America as a safer place to invest. AND everyone would be able to have healthcare without Big Brother controlling it.
With not one additional dime spent, and government services being reduced
Yes, probably so. They will argue it has become a health issue, and since the government is paying, they have the right to know if guns are in the house.
Unfortunately, they are too stupid to realize the folks in such houses are safer from harm than those without arms.
NO. You tell your doctor that you are going somewhwere else. Then you tell your doctor to delete you. Then say he will have a great big malpractice suit on his hands if that doesn’t happen. I know a lawyer that can do that. He takes million dollar cases only. Well, he get’s 40%. He runs a law firm in Calabasas, CA. You think that won’t happen? Smart guy.
This won’t be difficult - and the government contract will probably go to Microsoft. (Gates family are loyal and contributing Dems.)

But, medical info is just part of what will ultimately be collected and placed on your person. Rejection of that will make it difficult to impossible to buy and sell.
Sorry that should have read HIPPA
Try HIPAA.
.
That is how WebTV Plus and MSN-TV2 work
A set-top receiver - no hard drive - little memory needed
All my saved, 6 email accounts, operating system, favorites - sored by MSN servers in So-Cal
You would still be able to store on your own personal hardware on a PC if you wanted to
Big point is MSN screens out viruses, bugs, Trojans heading for Mexico.....
DUMP GOOGLE!! I did long ago.
Every Rx drug, doctor visit, discussion with a doctor, after thoughts of the doctor about you and your conditions, you name it.
You will never ever be able to escape or hide from you medical history. It will be available to anyone who pays for access to the system, like a credit history, but far worse.
yes dr’s have to keep your medical records, but you can get copies, all you have to do is ask, I have copies all of my records, and hospitals admissions... ma
