Well, that would be nice, but actually, your medical records also belong to your doctor. The doctor has to keep records of all patients treated, as he is subject to all kinds of medical review boards, state boards of medical examiners, etc. Doctors’ quality of medical outcomes are also tracked, which is a good thing. That way you can compare different surgeons’ success or failure rates on various procedures.

So, your doctor may give you copies, or send copies to another doctor, but I believe is also required to keep his records.

NO. You tell your doctor that you are going somewhwere else. Then you tell your doctor to delete you. Then say he will have a great big malpractice suit on his hands if that doesn’t happen. I know a lawyer that can do that. He takes million dollar cases only. Well, he get’s 40%. He runs a law firm in Calabasas, CA. You think that won’t happen? Smart guy.

yes dr’s have to keep your medical records, but you can get copies, all you have to do is ask, I have copies all of my records, and hospitals admissions... ma
