It's not really hard to imagine. Envision a high ranking soldier, a General or Commander-in-Chief, for that matter having to foray into the midst of the enemy in a suit and tie, armed with nothing but his sense of right. Imagine now, that the enemy are the daily throngs of MSM sychophants, wierdos, victim group representers, and a host of other dysfunctional societal ailments.

This is what this man had to withstand daily for 8 years, nonstop. It is no wonder that he felt comfortable with these soldiers, these fellow-Americans (the real ones you betcha).

Does this article explain W’s thinking on the southern border control philosophy?

I still have the picture from last years’ West Point graduation - “chest bump”. What a guy!

I miss the man already. Everyone who meets him says the same thing. He’s not the same guy we see on tv.

“Now it’s no secret that George W. Bush was unpopular; it’s also no secret that he was probably more popular within the ranks of the military’s officer corps than in any other sub-group of American citizens”

I found most officers and officer candidates in the USMC were pro Bush.....not that I met every one of them but I had a good source of information....my Marine sons.....

Wonderfully written. Thanks to a West Point hero who took the time to express his opinion on our beloved CinC

My favorite memory is Pres Bush on top of the rubble with his arm around the firefighter after 9/11. We needed someone to take the helm and lead and he did! B.Hussein would’ve been circling NY in the safety of AF1. looking down on his subjects. Pussy.

I learned all I need to know about Bush and the military that time he made the surprise Thanksgiving trip to Iraq. What a rush.

The Clintons were all about image, PR and spin. We had a slight reprieve from that for 8 years. It is now back.

As a proud member of the Long Gray Line, I was moved by this young man's article. The whole time I was reading it, I was comparing W to Bill Clinton and BH Obama. My thoughts can simply be recapped as follows:

W = Man's man

Clinton = Pussy

Obama = Sissy

Enterprise Alabama - Killer Tornado

President Bush comforted Megan Parks, left, and Sarah Carroll, seniors at Enterprise High School in Alabama, as he toured parts of the South hit by tornadoes last week. Eight Enterprise students died in the storm.

Gulfport, MS - after Hurricane Katrina
President Bush with Governor Haley Barbour and Mayor Brent Warr.
-------

Biloxi, MS - After Hurricane Katrina

During a walking tour of Biloxi, Miss., President Bush stopped to offer comfort to Bronwynn Bassier, 23, and her sister Kim Bassier, 21

---------------------------------
A good and decent man was lied about, smeared, jeered and mialigned by the democrat controlled media.

No one will see this sort of compassion from Barack H. Obama. It is not a part of his character.

Regardless of what you think were some mistakes during his presidency, he is a good man with a kind heart. A real genuine patriotic American. I was furious at him for the bailouts during he did at the end, but that is water over the dam, can't change it now, but I will always remember his as a man that I admire and Lara as the loveliest, most gracious first lady only. A true southern lady. Night and daycompared to that thing we have in there now.

Other people have mentioned what a difference Pres. Bush was before the cameras and in a small, private setting. Two of the more famous were Rush and Sean Hannity. When he was with people, especially the military and children, he seemed so warm, funny, different.

May God bless and keep him and Lady Laura. How I miss them, but not the hateful words of the press and Dims against them.
