I found most officers and officer candidates in the USMC were pro Bush.....not that I met every one of them but I had a good source of information....my Marine sons.....
President Bush is comfortable around military types because, despite the left wing morons attempt to obfuscate the truth, he was one of "us". Now we can't all be grunts and being a former grunt I lay no claim on how fighter jocks see the world but I do know that in general veterans are a unique American club bound by certain things that never seem to fade.
I think it's as simple as that.
