Looks like it wasn’t a gaffe, but official Dem policy . . .
When I saw the big headline in Drudge this morning about Nancy Pelosi defending money included in the stimulus package for birth control on the grounds it will reduce government costs for children’s health care and education, I figured it was an embarrassing mistake that would soon be corrected. But then Bob Wexler went on Hardball and said very much the same thing. Looks like the Dems have made it official policy to promote a reduction in the number of births as a cost-cutting measure .
The concept clearly gave Chris Matthews the creeps. And to his credit, he called Wexler on it.

He and Pelosi should share the leadership. There’s just too much excellence in Liberalism between them, for any of it to go wasted.

Let’s think about this for a second, they are right - $1000 for the snip snip vs 10’s of thousands on the dole. If we sterilize them they can’t reproduce, if they can’t reproduce they can’t commit crimes and vote democratic - with a bit of sarcasm.
I find this sick, only because if a republican every made any type of remark like this he/she would be all over the evening news getting a new a$$hole ripped in their backside.

I understand satire. My response represents what I see as looming reality.
