Don’t you already pine for the slightly ill-advised Bush admin and it’s Wilsonian aspirations, compared to these rank noobs?

I was ALREADY already pining for it. But now, Obama is looking like Phaeton to Bush's Apollo:

Mark Levin gave us couple of plugs on his radio show on Thursday. Anybody else catch that?

I caught that too! Made me proud! :)

I don’t listen to Rush, but I think I will on Monday to hear how he deals with this. If I can get him in my city, that is.

I'm in Virginia and I listen to Rush on 77WABC in NY via live-streaming on my computer. It doesn't matter what city your in...

One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.

"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."

Then 0bama should have taken Will Smith's advice. Don't start nothin' won't be nothin'. He just killed his Presidency.

Since when did Obama ever listen to Rush?

He won’t influence Rush or the Rush Limbaugh listeners.

A bloated ego has Obama.

Lets see if the Liberals come to the defense of the First Ammendment..... I doubt it...

Lets see if any Republicans come to the defense of the First Amendment ... I doubt it.

Thanks topfile, it’s all coming together rather obviously. I think we’re at a point of true definition of the ‘liberal’ (socialist and fascist combined - where they have always been, except on one dimensional political charts ;-), and I don’t know if anyone on our side can take up the reigns. I liked Sarah well enough but she isn’t Reagan, but who is?? I don’t see anyone in the political ranks filling those boots.

That doesn’t mean that the Dems won’t fold, though. Each of their factions are almost destinied to run into each other. I recall seeing a letter from the Ohio AFL/CIO president that ‘we (longshoreman, railroaders, merchant marines) had to stop the ecowhacos (actually used that word) from shutting down our waterways’ in the St. Lawrence seaway - they wanted to stop dredging because it stirred up bad stuff, but it would also stop all traffic to the Great Lakes ports. And that’s just one example - UAW and green cars won’t work either.

If Obama makes good on his promise to ‘bankrupt the coal utilities’ then coal miners, rail and boat, longshoreman and all the back up industries and workers will be affected. EPA stuff runs against all the construction crafts in every county in America.

The MSM will try to soft sell any ‘problems’ along the way but when it comes to jobs that isn’t easy to ‘explain away’ and whomever is in charge should take the hit, but then again, FDR got away with it for quite a while and do did the Democrat party. I think the ballgame is over but what do I know....

"...the President of the United States goes after Rush... That's surprising!"

Indeed it is. But "Infantile narcissist Barry Barack Dunham Soetoro Hussein Mohammed Obama singles out his most outspoken critic" -- not surprising at all.

"Pretty dang cocky for the least experienced guy to ever take over the oval office."

In the language of the street its referred to as "woffen" as in 'wolf-en' or "Mau-Mauing"...from the savage African tribal group known as the Mau-Maus of '60s Congo Rebellion infamy.
Both of these tactics depend heavily on 'white guilt' and timidity for their effectiveness. Typical bully tactics that fail with a verbal (or physical) reply known as the 'b*tch slap.'

Another aspect of this is the condescension:

“”You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.”

While it may be true that some don’t know the conservative line well, to imply that they are ‘taking orders from Rush’ is insulting, nonetheless, even though they should be ;-) Senator Kyl doesn’t need talking points from Rush to make his point that the ‘tax cuts for 40%’ amounts to a welfare check.

Yet there is certainly no need for a Cantor to explain to Obama what the Republican issues are and even less need to think that Obama is open to them. He isn’t. Time to become backbenchers and stop thinking that you can ‘reason’ with this guy. He knows the story, he simply doesn’t buy it. So don’t give him the opportunity to say ‘I won’ nah, nah, nah. They should be opposing him on every front, esp. so that the Press can’t say that he ‘fosters bipartisanship’. It isn’t “bipartisan” when people like McCain and others simply give in, that’s people thinking alike. A compromise with evil begets evil, and socialism is evil - history’s biggest killer and creator of misery, whether it is national socialism or world communism.

Socialism attempts to change the nature of man as a rationally self-interested individual into some altruistic animal that lives for others (the State and usually just for those that run it). It starts out by people, like the current set of imbeciles that voted this guy in, by ‘voluntarily’ doing things that are against their own self interest with some utopian ideal in mind (think mindless global warming idiots giving up safe cars for tin cans). That only works to a point - when they realize they aren’t getting a ‘return on their investment’ (I did mention that we are inherently self-interested, right :-). When enough resistance comes, so does the fascism - that’s when promoting voluntarism changes to promoting force to get things done - Socialism to Fascism (we see this in ‘public service announcements that cigarettes are bad, then they are banned; that transfats are harmful, then regulated - see the Socialists and Fascists are right next to each other rather than at opposite ends of a scale. The volunteerist Socialism turned Fascism happened with Stalin and others. Why the trains ran on time. When the people finally said ‘NO!’ the trains were idle and mountains of grain rotted at the port of Kiev while people starved in the Ukraine.

Sorry to all that already know this cold.... but more sorry for those that don’t.

Always bring a Liberal to a gunfight...

Well, they are dense enough to stop bullets. That's why doomed dictators always use liberals as human shields.

"READ ALL ABOUT IT"

It's the story every American needs to read! Barack Obama is hiding eight shocking secrets that could destroy his presidency before it even gets off the ground, political insiders say. In a blockbuster Special Report, insiders rip the lid off the scandals about where Obama was REALLY born, his sex life, drug abuse and the mysterious past he's hiding from the world. The new President has artfully dodged some of the most serious questions ever posed to a Commander-in-Chief. But top political leaders are demanding answers NOW - and the mounting pressure could trigger a firestorm that will bring down his administration. Don't miss a single word - only in GLOBE!

Because no man is perfect, no form of government will ever be perfect. However, the history of the Roman and Greek empires would be well worth a revisit for study today by all Americans.

I find the circumstances that evolved within those societies to reveal a paradigm shift in thinking, attitude, and expectations akin to 'I deserve the good life'. Add to that, moral decay, poor leadership, over extension of their governments and military (performance versus funding / income), etc., etc., etc., to be reticent in within the halls of US government today, especially, our elected officials.

Both empires crumpled when conquered subjects tired of over taxation accompanied with apathetic elitist attitudes of their rulers, not withholding the citizens acceptance from their self imposed stagnation and commonality of their own way of life documented from the demands of barbaric entertainment from the masses.

Too much today with what's wrong with America parallels the fall of Rome. Students are no longer required to study the histories of these once great ancient societies and the writings of those great philosophers of those eras.

Therefore, we can not expect them to even begin to grasp the potential, the opportunities, and responsibilities that have been laid into their hands from the blood, sweat, tears and wisdom of our forefathers. This is what is truly sad now.

Just a few thoughts:

1. This Chavez-Stalin stuff is happening faster than I thought it would.
2. bHo is triangulating, splitting the base from the Rockefeller Republicans.
3 bHo just gave Rush legitimacy..... just like Rush stated.
4. Fairness Doctrine, be prepared.

I have a feeling that satellite radio is going to become popular. Maybe
shortwave radio from Mexico or Bermuda.
It doesn't matter to me, I get everything from the Internet (24/7).

We need to work with Rush and Levin to rebuild the party.
