LOL!
See also, from newsbusters.org:
Conservative author Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity's former liberal co-host Alan Colmes were Dr. Phil's guests Thursday, and an astounding thing happened: the crowd seemed to like Coulter more than Colmes.
I kid you not.
The topics up for discussion were Barack Obama, the presidential campaign, and the media, and whenever Coulter said anything, the crowd applauded loudly.
Maybe even more delicious when Dr. Phil introduced former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan the audience booed (video embedded below the fold courtesy our dear friend MsUnderestimated, file photo)...
I cannot post that video from here.
Perhaps someone ELSE can help me. :o)

And, from
msunderestimated.com:
Coulter Vs. Colmes & McClellan On Dr. Phil (VIDEO)
Today on Dr. Phil, the subject was President Obama - Hope Vs. Reality. Ann Coulter, Alan Colmes, and Scott McClellan were guests.
I was absolutely SHOCKED by the warm reception Ann got from Dr. Phils audience, especially since theyre in California.
Having said that, Dr. Phil is a good ol Texas boy, who probably has the same values and Constitutional values as does Ann. I was delighted to see the positive response.
Scott McClellan looked absolutely frightened - Ann seemed not to want to pounce on him, for fear of offending Dr. Phil (southern manners do apply), but she was ticked at Scott nonetheless. That was VERY evident!
Alan was even a good sport, and I enjoyed seeing the 4 of them discuss these issues together.
Dr. Phil asked Ann, at the end, if she would come back and discuss the subject of unwed mothers, because, as he said, she has a mountain of evidence and statistics on this subject, and how it has brought ruin to our society. I have a feeling Dr. Phil is a kindred spirit in the conservative world.
This was quite a find, ladies and gentlemen. Im so glad I caught it.
Im looking forward to Anns next appearance on Dr. Phil, and you can look forward to seeing that here, as well.

And, from the COMMENTS posted at
msunderestimated.com:
This was undoubtedly the best Coulter interview I have ever seen. I've read several of her books and she is brilliant.
But in most interviews she is cut off and never allowed to finish her points and as a result she is usually made to look bad. Or if she does finish a point, she has to rush through it and looks rude for talking fast.
Here she was allowed to show how polite a person she really is, because the people around her where polite also.

Here is ANOTHER very positive comment, from newsbusters.org:
Ann's terrific, and so is Dr. Phil
January 23, 2009 - 12:48 ET by Debbie_S
I've never been a big fan of Ann Coulter, but she's terrific on this video.
It makes a big difference when the host isn't openly hostile. Dr. Phil is very fair to Ann. He's even-handed, yet asks tough questions.
The result is fantastic.
Finally a conservative like Ann gets a chance to give her opinion, without having to don boxing gloves, and she comes off as smart and reasonable.

I cannot post that video from here.
Jeffers will
EVENTUALLY have the ENTIRE SHOW on popmodal.com, I think.
But, until then, here is a link to the FIRST part -- I think, which is not yet on popmodal:

From

Dr. Phil, Ann Couter, Scott McClellan And Me
January 23rd, 2009, 11:03 AM EST
Noel Sheppard over at the right-wing Newsbusters site run by conservative media critic Brent Bozell delights that the audience on the Doctor Phil show Thursday liked Ann Coulter more than me. He, in fact, finds it astounding that it was so.
Not so astounding given that some of the crowd consisted of a local colleges young Republican club.
Unfortunately, the audience really didnt like Scott McClellan, the former Bush press secretary, who wrote a not-so-favorable-to-Bush book. Phil asked McClellan if he betrayed Bush. The few non-Bushies in the crowed reacted favorably when I suggested the better question was whether Bush betrayed McClellan and the country...

I've always THOUGHT that Alan Colmes was a smart guy. :o)
He's COMPLETELY WRONG almost every issue, but smart. And, a reasonably nice guy. You'll notice that we didn't BOO Alan.
McClellan is not just WRONG, he's a TRAITOR. And, like Ann, said, that's a CHARACTER issue.

Yeah, they miss the point completely. It is the culture that promotes no need for intact mom/dad/kids families that produces kids with no direction and commit crimes, become unproductive adults. Looking at individual single parents and you will always some find well behaved, normal adult children who would probably agree they would have been happier if they had a mom and dad, but made the best with what they had.

Here is
MORE positive reaction to Ann's appearance on Dr. Phil, perhaps even making a
new CONVERT, from
gingerlyoptimistic.blogspot.com:
Sooooooo last night I was watching Dr. Phil, the topic of the show was "Hope vs Reality". He had Fox news radio host Alan Colmes, former White House press secretary Scott McClellen ::you know.... dude that exposed Bush in his book "What Happened":: and controversial TV commentator Ann Coulter ::She has a book too "Guilty"::
The main purpose of the show was to discuss what needs to be done now that Barack is officially the president, but what caught my attention was what was said by Ann Coulter at the end of the show
Dr Phil asked her about a comment she made in her book he said...
- "You say on children of divorce, 'or as I call them, future strippers
What do you mean by that"
Ann's response (shortened)
- "The glamorization of single motherhood, how its promoted through the courts, through the government and through Hollywood and glossy magazines, marriage is debased in America, and this is creating real victims "
The whole show I don't think I agreed with anything she said until this.
It's so true, and its something that's been on my mind for a while now...

It is what the ancients called a "labor of love." :o)
Besides, I like to see the RESULTS of our endeavor.
If done correctly, the actual EVENT itself is only the beginning. Our larger objective to to SHARE what we did with MANY others -- who were NOT there.

Under the video she posted

Yes, when she first started talking about McClellen she said she wouldn't turn the show into the Jerry Springer show.
I'm sure in her book she eviserates him, but was too kind to lay it all out on the Doctor Fill show.
I kinka wish she would have been a little harder on him, but he may have cried.
When Scott Mc left the stage and walked past me, I heard myself saying to him "You're a traitor."

I'm sure in her book she eviserates him What?! It sounds like you haven't read it. That cannot be true--you must! She even wrote a 3 page skit with McClellan trying to see what he can get from NBC if he snitches. It was hilarious!
"Washed-Up Republican Functionary Scott McClellan: I am here to offer to turn on all my friends and cohorts in a Republican administration."

Thanks for posting this and thanks to Ann for raising the issue of single mothers and society's promotion of single motherhood.
As a Probation Officer it was and still one of the issues nearest and dearest to my heart. A great majority of people on my caseload were raised by single mothers AND were adding to the problem in their adult lives, many of them having fathered multiple children out of wedlock and neglecting to marry even one of the mothers.
I look forward to Ann's return to the Dr. Phil show to discuss the issue in greater depth and am delighted he made the offer to Ann and she accepted. : )

Here is ANOTHER positive comment (and, another NEW CONVERT!) from

Thank you, dr. Phil!
I've heard Anne's name many times before, but today, on your show, I had my first 'sighting' of her!
What a wonderful breeze of fresh air she is! I agree with everything she is saying and I understand her quirky humor.
She has a platform and is using it very well by saying all the things I think about. Finally somebody on TV that is expressing 'our' view!
As a South African, now living in Canada, I just love your new president and Tuesday was a long and exiting day for us. But I did hear the shocking boohooing at president Bush and even when pastor Rick Warren was called to do the prayer. What is wrong with people that has the audacity to be so disrespectful to any person, never-mind the president, a pastor and the way some of us pray?!
That is why I'm now a sworn fan of Anne Coulter!
I can not wait for the show on single moms and teenage pregnancies. Please keep your promise that she is going to be on that show
Thanks again.

I’m fairly certain that there was NO ONE in the audience who didn’t see McC’s betrayal of Bush as simply that...and While Annie was restrained at first, it was great to see she called McC on his lie (amazing that a network allowed her to ‘make a point’ for a change)! (Bet McC gets that a lot). Can’t imagine McC ever working politics again in his lifetime!
