Yeah, that's what I think he's going to do ... try to kick the can a bit further down the road, ordering Gitmo closed at a later date that allows him time to "research" the issue and change his mind.

The GOP should really hold his feet to the fire on this. He's POTUS now, he can't vote "present" and he OWNS the issue. Anything other than a "Close Gitmo in the next 30 days" is a complete cop-out.

Second, there is no place to put them. The talk of Camp Pendleton does not take into account the operational tempo for the installation that is preparing 60+% of the Marines going to CentCom. No time and no one there to do the job.
