It was not a total bomb, so I give him a “D”. Nothing chiseled in stone.

Let’s face it: the media don’t expect a black guy to be able to give much of a speech; therefore, anything he cobbles together is going to be perceived as impressive—for a black guy. To them, it’s like a chimpanzee getting a D minus in English.

It sounded as if it was for public consumption, as a political address it the faithful. But I think we will be surprised at what will happen. I don't trust him.

If this poll has been Freeped, we’re losing. I found the comments interesting, tho.
Obama could have stood at the podium for the Inaugural Addy......done nothing but farted......and these culties would have found something deep and insignificant about that. It’s like they all are high on grass. “Yeah, man, that was sooooooooo deep, and $hit.” (Been there, done that, got the tee, the trophy, the medal, and key to the city.)
To: RushIsMyTeddyBear
^sorry, deep and SIGNIFICANT. Must have been a Freudian slip.
To: I still care
I’m going to watch “Once Upon a Time in the West” again. At least I know it’s got a good ending.

The fact that the MSM is not replaying excerpts non-stop is an indication that even they admit the speech sucked. It started out doom and gloom, then it turned upbeat, then it didn't make any sense at all.

PG-13. It thrills the kids from junior high and bores the adults.

There are some talented 27 year olds, even among the goofballs who buy lattes at Starbucks. Don’t insult them.

If, as has been reported, Barack Obama wrote his inauguration speech, he certainly did not write the soaring literary sentences of Dreams from my Father. The inauguration speech was very pedestrian and included no memorable catch phrases.

"Roll up your Sleeves, America! We have WORK to do. ALL HANDS ON DECK! "
Just one of the comments after the vote..
To this fool...It will take more than your sleeves up...It will take more like 58% of your hard earned dollars to meet up with the crap that's coming down the pike with this administration...And, if you are between the ages of 18 and 34 (?) get ready for that forced community service...This should be entertaining with this age group on forced community service, since these prods have been forced to do nothing since they were born...Good luck, Bama!

Deluded is the word which comes to mind. He hasnt done anything but given a boring speech So far I have not been anything except exceedingly bored by him. It's amazing that someone so evil (pushing hard for little babies to be left to die alone if they survive abortion)can be sooooooo..... boring. Not at all like the evil characters in movies.
