Bush Mocked As He Arrives on Inauguration Dais @ 11:52 am by Hill Staff
The crowd packed on the west side of the Capitol grounds serenaded President Bush in mocking fashion when he took to the inaugural stage alongside Vice President Dick Cheney.
"Nah nah nah nah, hey hey, good-bye," a section of the crowd chanted.
The crowd packed immediately below the podium received Bush in stony silence when he took his seat on the stage surrounding the podium where Barack Obama was scheduled to take the oath office to become the 44th president of the United States.
The jeers are among the final public feedback Bush will receive as president.
First Lady Laura Bush and Lynne Cheney received light applause when they were announced to the crowd.
Bush is scheduled to depart from the East Front of the Capitol by helicopter after the swearing-in ceremony.
Obama received the loudest sustained cheers from thousands who chanted his name.
Before Obama took the stage the crowd gave its warmest welcome to former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.)
Vice-president elect Joe Biden also Michelle Obama also received warm welcomes.
House Democratic lawmakers formed a raucous audience from the section of seats rising immediately south of the speaker's podium.
They launched into a "Rahmbo" chant when they spotted White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

RANT ON: I swear, last evening as I rode the DC Metro underground home after a long day, I could not believe the riff-raff crowding the Metro cars and station. Amazing, a bunch of back-pack wearing 20-something year-olds, none in a suit or clean clothes, singing and clapping and chanting and dancing. . .”Obama, Obama, Obama. . .” Bleated over and over again. And these people have the right to vote? I travel quite a lot, and a substantial portion of my travels include Africa (sub_saharan and South Africa).
I truly witnessed African tribal behavior on the Metro, the dancing and chanting, and all that was missing were the AK-47’s and shots being fired into the air.
They are unwashed, obviously weak-minded and swayed by a personality cult. They are NOT thinkers. They are not men. They are unthinking children following the most colorful ribbon and glitter-stone.
It is a sad thing to observe, as these Obama-bots worship the man, not his ideas (what are those?), and they whole-heartedly voted him into office?
This is not good for the US.
When President Regan was elected, the jubilation was not for the man, per se, but for his ideas, ideas that extolled the virtues of this Great Nation and championed the American people and cause.
The Big O, The Messiah, The Chosen One, is worshiped not for his ideas—what are they anyway—but because, well. . . just because.
I am truly for the first time, concerned for the future of the states.
Bu that's just me. . . and today, inauguration day, is a troubling demonstration of the power of personality over ideals.
Basically, I have seen nothing to sway my opinion that Obama-bots are nothing more than simple dirty hippies. RANT OFF

President Bush is a two term President who protected this country. The transition did take place peacefully, so the trash needs to go home and try to get an education.
Obama bungled the Oath - people are trying to blame the CJ- why blame the CJ if Obama can’t repeat a simple sentence?
Heaven Help This Country.

How pathetic. These clowns probably have no idea how classless this is.
At my office this morning two different people brought up Dick Cheney being in a wheelchair and laughing. I set them straight right away.
