So many pundits have taken today (Martin Luther King Day) and its relation to tomorrow's inauguration of Barack Obama to make the point, as simplistic as it is inaccurate, that Obama's election is the fulfillment of Dr. King's "dream." A more destructive lesson would be difficult to fathom.
Doctor King spoke of racial equality. He spoke of Blacks and Whites and all other races uniting as Americans, not as racial groups.
And this will be the day this will be the day when all of Gods children will be able to sing with new meaning:
My country tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrims pride,
From every mountainside, let freedom ring!
And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true.
But that is exactly what happened in 2008. Barack Obama will be President tomorrow because 95% of black voters voted for the partially-black guy. Barack Obama won because, harsh as this sounds, Black America is currently more racist than White America. Doctor King did not dream of a country where a man would be elected because of the color of his skin. He said the opposite....

Wonder if the man being sworn in tomorrow would be honest and consider this was the SWING vote that got him elected?
OJ Simpson of the ballot box.
Obozo further divides the country because of him being illegal & fraudulent.
That’s a good analysis, IMO. Thanks for the article.
It sickens me when people compare him to Martin Luther King. He is everything that Dr. King stood against:
” have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”
Barry has no character. He’s morally bankrupt..
As blasphemous as this sounds, I am willing to give the man the benefit of the doubt at this point. After al, he will be sworn in tomorrow, and I'm not so sure we would have been any happier with McCain. (how do we get stuck with these candidates, Dole, Bush, McCain?) Ask me again in 100 days how I feel. My bigger concern is the unbridling of Pelosi-Reid, and it will be interesting to see how successfully he reigns them in. This could turn out to be an amusing inter-party brawl, and what will the Lame Stream Media do?
which person was closer to their dream MLK or Icarus?
Thank you.
You’re right, unfortunately. This worship of *change* without defining what it is or even what people want is very disturbing to me. I have a very hard time giving him the benefit of the doubt, because he IS part of the corrupt Chicago Machine, he’s in deep, and he’s moved further than he ever expected so fast. I do suspect that it will be standard corrupt Dem politics as usual though. Pelosi may be a Left-Coast Freak, but the Machine will keep them in check, because it knows how to keep the money train going. They are not about to let the moonbats bankrupt the nation and bring it all crashing down just for a “feel-good moment.”
**Doctor King did not dream of a country where a man would be elected because of the color of his skin. He said the opposite....**
Exactly. Looked at all the black Republicans who turned on their party because of wanting Obama in the WhiteHouse.
He, and the black voter, has done more to polarize this country than anything GWB ever did (images of blacks preventing whites to vote in Philly still anger me). We're in for a rough ride for the next 4-8 years. Strap yourself in and get the popcorn ready.
“...95% of black voters voted for the partially-black guy.”
And, citizenship issue aside, none of his black ancestors were from the United States. None were enslaved in the United States.
He came in and took advantage of the efforts of others, with whom his connection, if any was tenuous.
The 95% were “had”. He is not one of them.
Thank you for bringing up that fact.
I mean, Tom Sowell is 100% black and American, not 50% black and 50% non-American.
