Attn FReepers: The Free Republic Inaugural Ball has been cancelled.
Free Republic | Inaugural Eve, in the year of the Grate ObaMassiah 2009 | Jim Robinson

Sadly, the 3rd Quad-Annual Quadrennial Free Republic Inaugural Ball in DC has been cancelled due to lack of interest. There will be no refunds (seeing as how no tickets were sold - and none offered).

However, now is the time to begin planning a conservative offensive movement.

How many of you would like to attend a two day conference symposium, er "FReepmeet" regarding taking back our country? It's been suggested that if we do this, it should be held in a central location or airline hub like Denver or Dallas so a maximum number of FReepers can attend.

If not us, who? If not now, when?

Please post your ideas to the thread.

That is all.

Well, here’s to a successful (and uneventful) looking up your name and address. Good luck!

Did you know that in Japanese the word “Obama” means Little Beach? There is actually a city/town named Obama in Japan.

Las Vegas has the worst or nearly the worst airport in the country. No to Vegas.

Jim, it sounds like a good idea. However, I think it should be held in Washington, to plant the flag in enemy country.

I would go for that. And I think you should do several; not just one.

I am in for Dallas.

Suggested topics:

1. How best to raise funds for selected candidates regardless of their party. Support to be given those candidates that believe in The Constitution and this nation as a Republic with a limited federal government. The Obama campaign floated on a sea of internet donations, a large percentage was of questionable sources.

2. How can we rescue the GOP from the RINOs that infect it.
More than one Freeper (myself included)no longer consider themselves Republicans.

NRA Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ, May 15-17.

And there’s a scheduled shoot, too.

What better time?

Perhaps some would call me paranoid, but I would not attend based on the foregoing.

If you think you're going to get through this unscathed, better think again. This is a time for "Give me liberty or give me death" and mean it.

it would be really cool if Governor Palin were there.

Phoenix, May 15-17, if her schedule permits...

Why not have four smaller meets to make the meetings more accessible to more people. I cannot go to Dallas - as much as I’d like to...and I’m sure others are in this position too.

“These small groups could cooordiante to find and loft real Conservatives across this nation, to run for the Republican primaries in 2010.”

Mega bump!

McCain and his gang have helped move the center to the left. We need to oust these RINO’s.

great Idea,

I vote Chicago right in Obamas territory. Second Choice St’ Louis like someone else said. It right in the center of the country.

I kinda figured that, Jim.

I also figure that many of us will be going back to the streets with signs, hats, slogans, chants, etc.

Time to take the Free Republic Navy and Air Force out of mothballs.

Here we go again...
