Even if things don't improve under the Obama presidency, people are worshipping him and are "optimistic" anyway.
What happened to the American people?!
Nothing matter, just the chance to worship at the feet of "the ONE"?!

If you ever wanted to know how a whole nation could go crazy and support Hitler, just look around. It’s happening before our eyes.

The American people will change their minds soon enough. Obama has no where to go but down, and as soon as he makes a decision that makes people hurt in the wallet, or embarrasses the US, this will drop.

To paraphrase the Greeks
“WHOM GOD WOULD DESTROY, HE FIRST MAKES MAD.”
Virtually an entire nation has taken leave of its senses.
Our destruction waits in the wings — or at least the LEFT wing.

I’m so sure that the weight for this poll was ‘fair and balanced’—something like 85% liberal democrats v. 10% conservative/republicans, with a small amount of ‘who cares?’ and ‘I’m so dumb I don’t even know my name’ respondents!

He really doesn’t talk that much so he can’t be judged on what he is doing. He is just talking like a preacher and trying to be inspirational now. Let him.
When Congress gets in session and things start getting back to normal we will see what he is made of.

The press hated Pres. Bush. The people hated Pres. Bush (or did we?).
The press loves Obama. The people love Obama (or do they?).
In my local newspaper, the entire first section was Obama-mania. There were stories of school children traveling to see Obama and old ladies going to see Obama and dogs and cats living together.
And the Sunday Parade section featured a barf-worthy "Obama's Letter to his Daughters" splashy front cover article.
Make it stopppppppppppppppppppppp.......

Most Americans told The Times that they did not expect real progress in improving the economy, reforming the health care system or ending the war in Iraq -- three of the central promises of the Obama campaign for at least two years. So 79% are optimstic he'll do nothing? Expect nothing?? Doesn't matter what he does just as long as he gets on TeeVee and tells how great this moment is???
Again, I ask: how did this happen?
To: FocusNexus
Only 79% for the Messiah? What a bunch of heathens.

Of those surveyed, 79 percent were optimistic about the next four years under ObamaMost Americans told The Times that they did not expect real progress in improving the economy, reforming the health care system or ending the war in Iraq.
This is very funny. 79% are optimistic that things won't get any better.

He won 52% of the votes but now he is supported by 79% of the people before he even begins to govern? What did he do exactly so he is now getting the support of the majority of the people who voted against him?

Why don’t these polls tell us where the samples came from. Were they all polling in New York, Maryland, California etc.. or were they a sample of every state in the Union?
My opinion is that these are all inside the beltway samples.
To: FocusNexus
Where did they poll? Let me guess, in San Fran, NYC, Chicago and Miami? I’m sure a lot of fly over country was ignored as was any rural folk and most especially anyone who is a registered “R”.
