Hundreds wait for hours to buy S.F. ID card Hundreds of people stood in line for hours at San Francisco City Hall on Thursday to be among the first in the nation to receive municipal identification cards (regardless of their immigration status.)

The cards, also available in New Haven, Conn., and being considered in other cities, have sparked fury among advocates of stricter immigration laws.

They argue cities have no business declaring people residents if they are not in the country legally.

But San Francisco officials and recipients of the cards hailed the new program as a way to connect undocumented immigrants with banks, businesses and city services, such as obtaining health care and checking out library books.

If San Francisco wants to make illegals residents, then San Francisco should pay to support them, and not me. The same goes for New Haven.

Setting it up for the next election...Add that to all the early voting “cr**”, and you can beat the very purpose of the electoral college...which is exactly what Obama did.

This government is just plain evil.

They take 40-50% of people's income and their families have to do without.

Give you an example, when you buy a loaf of bread at the store, it's been taxed over a hundred times.

Then the social security comes out of my check which is 8%. My company pays the other 8%.

If the government would have let me kept my money, I could have invested it at 4-5% a year, I would have over a million dollars.

What does the government do with all that money that people don't collect? Like my sister, that worked all of her life and never collected one social security check.

She died at 55 with no children

Obviously they are all also qualified to run for president.

I think this is a great idea.

Anyone who has one of these card is an illegal alien, since anyone legally here can get a real id car.

We now have their name and address.

When the time comes, it’ll make them easier to deport.

Get used to standing in lines, for food, clothing and any other commodity you can think of. Zero is going to change a nation.

Is it any wonder that CA is going broke?

The State picks up the tab for other things for SF and other cities, ie Berkley, so that they can do things like this and gay marriage and anti-war etc.

If the state didn't pick up the tab for the other things, SF wouldn't have the money to squander on worthless things like this.

NO BAILOUT FOR CALIF!!

Kind of like Hussein the Magnificent investigating himself and then declaring his findings that he is clear of Pay-to-Play?

Communists. The same breed throughout the world. Follow the money.

I guess city rights trump state law and federal law ... I also guess 'The War Between the States' never happened.

Can I then make up rights that trump city rights? It's all the rage ya' know.

“such as obtaining health care and checking out library books.”

I’m sure SF has plenty of foreign language books in their libraries....

Most of them never use their real name.

America Newspapers and Media are all part of the propaganda machine. If you watch the tv media closely, all they do is read from the teleprotor machine. It’s all controlled; even the voting machines. Hitler couldn’t do a better job with the technology they have today.

I am said to say that one of my early ancestors helped found New Haven. I can hope he would have not looked kindly on this.
