I sit here with tears welled up in my eyes and a single tear drops down my cheek. The words were moving and true. A great tribute. Thank you John.
But the tears aren’t for the message, they are for my Country and the realization that “The Dream is Over”
I remember the words of a salty(sarc) seaman recruit at great lakes training center in 1970 the first time I marched through the tunnel singing anchors aweigh.
