We can also be pretty certain that his departure will not feature the ransacking of the Oval Office and Air Force One, or the sophomoric removal of the "O's" from White House keyboards.

If, as has been the case for his entire presidency, he is true to his word, he will be as magnanimous to his successor as he was to his predecessor; notwithstanding the disrespect he received at the hands of both.

Thank you for this thread, Starwise. I didn't agree with all his decisions, but for the entire 8 years, I felt he was an honest man, a man who feared the Lord, loved and honored his country, and any and all decisions he made he felt were for the best of his country.

Words fail me when I try to express the admiration I feel towards Lady Laura. She is an inspiration and roll model.

That Thanksgiving trip just knocked me out. I’ll never forget it .. it was breathtaking.

What a thrill for our awesome military ... their CIC has NEVER had them far from his thoughts, prayers and respect. And they sure love him back.

Pray for our fantastic troops in the days ahead. God bless and protect them, especially now.

No pretending from our President. He loves everyone and is not ashamed of showing it. It grieves me so that he is leaving soon.

This thread is helping me a lot to try to get through our wonderful President and his First Lady’s leaving Washington. I have had a hard time facing it just as I understand all these folks here feel the same way. Maybe we will get to see more of him. I pray for them daily.
