So Yellowstone, the super volcano, is again rumbling? Mercury has been detected throughout the national park (not a good sign) for quite sometime and along with it the ground under Yellowstone Lake is rising.
More than 250 earthquakes reported during a 24-hour period ...
Scientists monitoring Yellowstone have stated that it has entered into what they have described as a "red zone."
Remember Mount St. Helens? The feds warned folks in the region around the mountain to vacate, and most did. Some (a few) didn't.
It's been reported that the feds will issue a vacate order to the inhabitants of Wyoming, if time allows, for such a mass exodus ...
The Yellowstone Caldera is linked to a massive complex of subterranean tunnels that are miles deep in the earth, and which are connected to other volcanic zones such as Mount Shasta in California, Mount Rainier in Washington state and the volcanic caldera located in Bend, Ore., all of which are at this very moment showing signs of seismic activity similar to what Yellowstone is experiencing, that has many in the scientific community pondering as to what it all means.

“This could kill hundreds of millions of people worldwide.”
The poor and homeless would be hardest hit.
There ia a joke about God ending the world on a Friday and the newspaper reports that would some out Thursday:
New York Times: “WORLD ENDS TOMORROW” Details on page 42.
Wall Street Journal: WORLD TO END - Markets to Close Early
Washington Post: WORLD ENDS - Women and Minoritits Hit Hardest
LA Times: WORLD WILL END - Michael Moore Blames Bush
BUMP!!!
Only 8 more days left to blame it on Bush.
You just read my mind.
Gonna have to get me one of those Land Rams or whatever it was called.
I thought being in Wyoming they would blame this one on Cheney for sure.
Of note I was pulling into Subic on a frigate the day Pinatubo blew in the Phillipines. Ended up having to go back as there was a typhoon coming in at the same time (Yes - still have my “I survived the vulcaphoonquake” t-shirt; now that is a true capitalist for ya).
Interesting thing was that we went back about 3 years later and you couldn’t tell a difference in the fauna or wildlife...only the human infrastructure was still in recovery mode (and I blame more of that on the US not being their anymore).
I’ve been to Yellowstone about 10 times. If you love Yellowstone, try Glacier NP in Montana

I suspect the destinations of choice would be in the southern hemisphere.
Did you ever see On the Beach?
Just in case then I won't be watching, but to be honest I don't think I've ever watched any presidential inauguration. There is certainly no reason to start with this one.
Maybe he thinks "Journey to the Center of the Earth" is based on a true story.
I’m missing no sleep over the probability of Yellowstone going volcanic. If it does go bad... I’m downwind...
We’ll just use our GPS units to locate buried 7-11’s, dig down and we’ll have everything we need - for nomads. ;-)
It is gorgeous. I just don’t want to be die from asthma attack from it here in NYC.
It’s been a long time since I was in a 7-11. If they still have those packs of double chilli dogs....grab one for me.
No wonder they have stored the world’s seeds supplies in that mountain in Norway!
Wasn’t a Land Ram from Battlestar Galactica?

The government has the ability to turn tvs on/off and change channels, and lock controls.
All tvs nationwide will be automatically turned on by the government, and the inauguration will be televised on all channels.
Don't think about unplugging it, as there is an "emergency" energy pack in all tvs, so that if power were out, the government could still communicate with its people.
OK so I made this up. But 4 years from now, it might now be so far fetched, when you consider this guys ego.
